The Two Witnesses - Part 3

In any discussion of the Two Witnesses, we should understand that there is also a third witness prophesied in the Deut. 19:15,

15 A single witness shall not rise up against a man on account of any iniquity or any sin which he has committed; on the evidence of two or three witnesses a matter shall be confirmed.

The third witness is often required to clarify the other two witnesses. In the big prophetic picture, presented to us in Revelation 11, we see that Moses and Elijah are two witnesses representing the law and the prophets. The third witness is David, representing the Psalms.

The first two witnesses involve the word in prose. The third witness is in poetry and song to add beauty, harmony and color to the word. In fact, the third witness is designed to harmonize Moses and Elijah—that is, it is to bring them into agreement. It is not that the law and prophets are contradictory, but rather that men often lack the ability to harmonize the two. The psalms are designed to fulfill this function by restating the prophetic law in song. Luke 24:44, 45 says,

44 Now He said to them, “These are My words which I spoke to you while I was still with you, that all things which are written about Me in the Law of Moses and the Prophets and the Psalms must be fulfilled.” 45 Then He opened their minds to understand the Scriptures.

The Scriptures are thus divided into three parts to provide us with three witnesses, so that our minds might be opened to understand the Scriptures.

Likewise, we see this revealed in the feast days. The laws of justification are presented in Passover; prophecy is set forth in Pentecost; while harmony and reconciliation of the Psalms is sung to us in the New Song of Tabernacles.

A three-fold cord is not quickly broken,” Solomon tells us in Eccl. 4:12.

For this reason, on June 21, 2009 three of us formed a 3-fold cord representing the law, prophets, and psalms for the 3½ year work ahead. We believe it to represent the work of the Two (but really Three) Witnesses of Rev. 11.

It is Moses and Elijah and David, but as I have shown already, it is also Joshua and Elisha (with David).

The Moses-Elijah combination really pertains more to the Old Covenant, while the same ministry under the New Covenant is Joshua-Elisha. I suppose in that light, “David” becomes “Christ,” when we move from Old Covenant to New Covenant applications.

The Current Elisha Ministry

In September of 2007 we began to get specific insight into a new thing that God was doing in the earth. This revelation came at our Feast of Tabernacles conference in Hilo, Hawaii, where it was revealed prophetically that we would shortly see the birth of “Elijah” or “John.”

A few weeks later, this was clarified by revelation given to Bob, based on Gen. 17:21,

21 But My covenant I will establish with Isaac, whom Sarah will bear to you at this season next year.

In other words, while the prophecy of this “birth” came in 2007, it was actually applicable a year later at the feast of Tabernacles of 2008. And, of course, because there are many biblical characters who are all prophetic types, the identification of Elijah with “Isaac” shows us that this is to have a New Covenant application.

Hagar, you recall, represents the Old Covenant, while Sarah represents the New (Gal. 4:24). Though we did not realize it at the time, this revelation hinted that the Elijah prophecy was really referring to Elisha, because we were seeing the Old Covenant type being fulfilled through the New Testament and its methods of establishing the Kingdom of God.

And so by the end of 2008 Ron was shown that this was no longer Elijah, but Elisha. And it was no longer Moses but Joshua.

Meanwhile also, the “birth” of Elisha was prophetically tied to the ripening of the barley, which extended the time frame another six months to the Wave-sheaf offering of April 12, 2009.

During our Passover conference at Sweetwater, TN, I was led to make a declaration on April 12 to establish the start of the Elisha Ministry. This was to fulfill the OT type seen in 2 Kings 2:13, when the mantle of Elijah fell to Elisha.

The entire story of Elisha was made up of a series of 16 miraculous signs which were OT types. We would then begin to see these translated into NT types in our own experience over the next few months or years.

I have already written of these things in the past year’s FFI’s, and so I do not intend to revisit all of those stories. But a summary of them are as follows:

OT Type #1. Crossing the Jordan (2 kings 2:13-18). This time was spent in sending 50 men to see if they could find Elijah, who had been taken up in a whirlwind. This type portrayed men having to decide whether or not there had truly been a change of authority from Elijah to Elisha—that is, from the Old Covenant to the New. When the men could not find Elijah, they submitted to Elisha.

NT Type #1. In early May we crossed the waters by going to the Virgin Islands for our daughter’s wedding. She married Ronnie, which is an Old Norse name:

From the Old Norse, composed of the elements meaning "Advice; decision; the gods" and "ruler".

This has everything to do with Old and New Covenant, because the Covenants represent two types of marriage relationships. I wrote about this in my book on Old and New Covenant Marriage. Marriage itself involves decision and so this entire scenario ran parallel to the story of Elisha and the decision that had to be made in his day.

OT Type #2. Healing the Waters of Jericho (2 Kings 2:19-22). Elisha healed the waters of Jericho with salt.

NT Type #2. Upon returning from the Virgin Islands, we immediately went to Nebraska for a gathering of the “Salt Company.” This group got its name from an earlier meeting on Oct. 31, 2007, which was the 490th anniversary of Martin Luther’s act of nailing the “95 Theses” on the church door of Wittenberg.

Luther’s act in 1517 exposed the love of money in the Church and sparked the Protestant Reformation at Wittenberg (“White Mountain”). 490 years later to the day, as we were meeting in Oklahoma City, Meredith Whitney (“White Island”) exposed the precarious position of Citibank to the financial community, marking the beginning of the Banking crisis of 2008.

At our own meeting, we were led to wash each other’s feet with salt water, and hence, we called ourselves the Salt Company.

On May 10, 2009 the Salt Company prayed for the healing of the waters of the rebuilt city of Jericho. We recognized, of course, that while Jericho had been a type of Babylon when Joshua destroyed it, this had changed by the time of Elisha. The city was under new management of the Kingdom of God. As Rev. 11:15 says, “The kingdoms of this world have become the Kingdom of our Lord and of His Christ. . .”

OT Type #3. The Two Bears and the 42 young men (2 Kings 2:23-25). As Elisha walked up to Bethel, where one of the golden calves was located, some of the young men (not children) mocked him by telling him to “go up” to the high place to worship at this false altar.

The prophet rebuked them according to the law in Deut. 17:2-5, which forbids enticing others to worship false gods. As a result, two bears went on a rampage and mauled 42 of the young men.

NT Type #3. After our Salt Company prayer on May 10, 2009 to heal the waters of Jericho, the revelation came that the 42 young men in Sign #3 was prophetic of a 42-day time cycle from May 10 to June 21. In other words, we were to watch June 21 specifically.

As it turned out, I was to go on a lengthy trip to the West Coast in June. This trip had been planned in order to deal with the “beast from the sea” described in Rev. 13:1-10). The connection to the third sign of Elisha showed me that there were actually two “beasts” to deal with, the other being the “beast from the earth” in Rev. 13:11-18.

Also, because this was tied to the golden calf at Bethel in the story of Elisha, it was logical to connect the second beast with the second golden calf in the city of Dan at the northern border of ancient Israel. This was located at or near the Grotto of Pan, where Jesus took His disciples in Matthew 16, calling it “the gates of hell” in verse 18. This was apparently the common name that the Judeans called it in those days. It can be viewed online even today.

I wrote a more detailed report of this trip in the FFI #253, dated September 2009, showing how we dealt with the false god that the Bible calls Azazel. Lev. 16:8 translates this name as “scapegoat,” but it is really the “goat god.” It comes from the Hebrew word azaz, “goat,” and el, which is “god.”

The Greeks called him Pan, and he was pictured as half goat, half man (a fawn, or satyr). He was said to be the god of music.

On June 21, we met with a group in Sacramento, where three of us were led to join hands and establish the unity of the Spirit. I represented the law; Fred the prophets; and David the psalms. The full empowerment of the Word was necessary to complete the work of overthrowing Pan.

I then drove to Colorado Springs, where I was taken to the “Black Forest” for meetings. On the second night, I led the group in a prayer declaration to cast down Pan and laid claim to the Black Forest for the Kingdom of God.

The next morning after we overthrew Pan, Michael Jackson died unexpectedly. He was the “king of pop,” and was quite obsessed with Pan, the god of music. He was also obsessed with bears. And who could forget his love for Peter Pan, naming his mansion, the Neverland Ranch.

OT Type #4. The Moabite War (2 Kings 3:4-27). Elisha prophesied on behalf of King Jehoram of Israel and King Jehoshaphat of Judah when they went to war against the king of Moab. This alliance between Israel and Judah was not right, because Jehoshaphat was a righteous king, while Jehoram was very ungodly.

This spoke of an unholy alliance and a dysfunctional family. (Israel and Judah were a “family,” but were two separate nations by this time.) The story shows that the king of Moab eventually turned back the troops of Judah and Israel by sacrificing his son on the city wall (vs. 27).

This was perhaps the ultimate manifestation of a dysfunctional family! But we must keep in mind that the Moabite nation itself was founded on a dysfunctional family situation. When God destroyed Sodom and Gomorrah, Lot and his family escaped (Gen. 19). This disaster made Lot’s daughters think that the world had come to an end. So they conspired to have children by their father by getting him drunk.

The plot worked, and Lot fathered two children, each by a different daughter. One was Ammon, or Ben-ami (“son of father”), and the other Moab (“progeny of a father”). And so a spirit of dysfunctional family continued as a generational curse upon that nation.

The Ammonites worshipped Moloch, and the Moabites worshipped Chemosh. Both gods were worshipped by human sacrifice of their children.

NT Type #4. On our way from Sacramento to Colorado Springs, we spent the night of June 22 in Moab, Utah, where we were led to make a decree in the Divine Court to overthrow the generational spirit of Moab. I do not know of any further confirmation about the overthrow of this spirit of family dysfunction.

OT Type #5. Filling the Vessels (2 Kings 4:1-7). A wife of one of the sons of the prophets went into debt and the creditors were about to take her sons as slaves to repay the debt. She appealed to Elisha, who asked her what she DID have in the house. All she had was a small jar of oil.

He told her to borrow as many vessels as she could find and then pour the oil into the vessels. The oil multiplied until it had filled every vessel. When the last vessel was full, the oil stopped multiplying.

NT Type #5. We were on our way to Sweetwater, TN for the Tabernacles conference last October. On the way, we stopped near Mobile, AL to visit friends and to have a meeting with Pastor Vinnie, who is from Pensacola, FL (about an hour’s drive from Mobile).

Vinnie invited us to come to his house meeting the next night, so we decided to go. It was October 13, and as we drove to Pensacola, I pondered the possibility that we might see the fifth sign of Elisha at the meeting. It had been nearly three months since the previous sign had manifested, so it seemed that we were due for the next one.

Sure enough, Vinnie used 2 Kings 4:1-7 as the text of his message, and once again, I knew we were in the right place at the right time. At the end of the message, I stood up and said, “I am a vessel that wants to be filled.” He laid hands on me, prayed, and prophesied about the calling that God has for my life.

It was a prayer to be filled with the anointing of God for the work that lies ahead. I was then asked to share with the whole group some of the things that God was doing in the earth today.

At the same time, Vinnie told me that he was planning to have a conference in early January 2010. One of the invited speakers was David Hogan, who is best known for his missionary work in Mexico, where he and his team have documented nearly 500 people being raised from the dead (50 of them in the past year, 2009). Well, I knew that I had to attend that conference, because it involved the next two signs of Elisha.

OT Type #6. The Shunammite woman’s son (2 Kings 4:8-17). There was a “prominent” woman (and her elderly husband) who provided a room for Elisha so that he would have a place to stay as he passed by. One day the prophet was led to bless her with a gift from God. Since she had no children, Elisha prophesied that she would have a son. He was born the following year.

NT Type #6. I drove to Pensacola with my friend Philip from January 4-10, 2010. As we drove, we read sermons from John G. Lake, a prominent healing evangelist from a century ago. As we read and discerned, it became clear that we were going to Pensacola to hear the Word and see the sixth sign of Elisha about the Shunammite woman’s son being born.

We knew, of course, that the “son” represented Christ and (particularly) “Christ in you, the hope of glory.” So I told Phil that David Hogan’s text would be a verse about birthing the son.

In the first meeting, he gave a testimony of the things God had been doing. After 9:00 p.m. he finally opened the Bible and announced his text—Isaiah 9:6, 7, which he read from the King James Version:

6 For unto us a Child is born, unto us a Son is given; and the government shall be upon His shoulder; and His name shall be called Wonderful, Counseller, The mighty God, the everlasting Father, the Prince of Peace. 7 Of the increase of His government and peace there shall be no end, upon the throne of David, and upon His kingdom, to order it and to establish it with judgment and with justice from henceforth even for ever. The zeal of the Lord of hosts will perform this.

Phil and I looked at each other, and I said to him, “Well, here it comes!” I looked at my watch and discovered that he had read Isaiah 9:6 and 7 at precisely 9:06 to 9:07 p.m.

This not only provided us with confirmation of the sixth sign of Elisha, but also gave us the primary interpretation of this sign. It is often difficult to know how to interpret types and signs, or how to apply them to modern events. This time we were left with no doubt.

OT Type #7. The Son Raised from the dead (2 Kings 4:18-37). The woman’s son grew up, and one day he complained of a headache. He died at noon. The woman went to Elisha immediately. Elisha gave his staff to his servant and told him to go ahead of him and lay the staff on the child.

This was an initial act of faith that set the results into motion. When the prophet arrived in person and raised the child from the dead, the “time of faith” ended. We often see such a two-step process that requires a time of faith. Even Jesus prayed twice to heal a blind man (Mark 8:24).

NT Type #7. I discerned that the NT type would be seen on Jan. 27, 2010, which was the end of the 76-day cycle that had begun on Nov. 12, 2009. What was unclear at first was how the two-step sign in Elisha’s day would affect our modern parallel.

On Jan. 25 Pernell Roberts died at the age of 81. He was the last surviving member of the “Bonanza” family in the TV series from the 1960’s. His screen name was Adam, and we had discerned in the 1990’s that his death would indicate the death of the old Adam, followed by the resurrection of the New Creation Man of the Last Adam.

The next day, a Polish beekeeper, Josef Guzy, 76, seems to have come alive from his own coffin. A news report wrote this:

Josef Guzy, 76, has been bestowed with the god blessings. This is called miracle when a person is back alive from his own coffin. Josef was declared dead by the doctors after he suffered a massive heart attack due to an insect bite.

Funeral director Darius Wysluchato said, “Just before closing the coffin, the family asked us to remove a couple of precious things from the body. I happened to touch the artery in the neck and was totally shocked. I checked it again and shouted, ‘There is a pulse.’ My assistant checked as well. I leaned in close and I could tell that he was still breathing. My God, it was a miracle.”

http://www.news-relay.com/latest-news/dead-person-josef-guzy-came-alive-from-the-coffin-was-declared-dead/

The fact that he was 76 years old is also significant, since January 26 was the 76th day from Nov. 12. So we saw definite signs of death and resurrection at this time. His name is Josef (Joseph), which ties this to the Joseph theme that we have been covering since the conference in Manassas, VA last April.

Yet I also came to believe that Part 2 of this sign would occur at noon on February 21, because of events that we saw on this date in 2001. Because I am writing this report prior to that date, I am not able to relate anything further about this at this time.
