Chapter 5

The Debt Note Given to Edom

The divine law prophesied that Christ was to come twice in order to accomplish His purpose. The law regarding leprosy in Lev. 14 said that it took TWO doves to cleanse lepers. The animals or birds sacrificed in the law were prophetic of Jesus Christ, who gave His life as a Sacrifice on the Cross. Leprosy itself is a biblical symbol of mortality, because leprosy was a slow death. Its cure, then, is immortality.

The first dove was to be killed, and the second dove was to be dipped in the blood of the first dove and set free into an open field. The first dove therefore prophesied of Jesus Christ's death, while the second dove speaks of His second coming. The second dove was to be let loose into the open FIELD, and Jesus said in Matt. 13:38, "the field is the world." Hence, He must come into the world a second time, but not to die again.

We read in Rev. 19:13 that in His second coming, "He is clothed with a robe dipped in blood." This is a reference to Lev. 14:7, where the second dove was dipped in the blood of the first dove. It identifies the second dove with the first dove and bases the second work of Christ upon the first.

It also identifies Jesus' second coming, not with Judah, but with Joseph--the only man in the Bible whose robe was dipped in blood (Gen. 37:31). Jesus came the first time through the line of Judah (specifically of the lineage of King David) in order that He could lawfully be the King. But He must come as "Joseph" in order to receive His birthright, for as 1 Chron. 5:2 says, "the birthright belonged to Joseph." That is why his robe has been dipped in blood in Rev. 19:13.

Once we understand these basic things of the law, we can build upon this knowledge. To Judah was given the Throne; to Joseph was given the Birthright and the name of Israel. When Jesus came the first time, His throne was usurped even as Absalom usurped the throne from his father, David. It was done with the help of Ahithophel (2 Samuel 15:12), even as Jesus' throne was usurped by the religious leaders of Judah with the help of Judas.

In modern times, as we approach the time of the second coming of Christ, we see the same type of conflict repeating itself. But this time the conflict is not about the Throne, but about the Birthright of Joseph. In 1948 the Jews usurped the Birthright of Joseph with the help of the Church--the modern Judas.

The Jews by their own admission are not descendants of Joseph, and therefore have no legal right to claim the name the birthright name (Israel) given to Joseph's sons. Yet they did so in 1948. They could have named their nation "Judah," as some of them actually suggested, but they decided upon "Israel" in order to trick the Christians into thinking they were the fulfillment of Bible prophecy regarding the restoration of Israel.

And so, it is deja vu all over again. The treachery is now complete. Both the Throne of Judah and the Birthright of Joseph were usurped unlawfully, each with the help of a "Judas." Judas was Jesus' disciple and "friend" who betrayed Him. The Church is also Jesus' disciple and "friend" who betrayed Him.

And so, even as Judas was replaced, so also will the Church be replaced by the overcomers. “His office let another man take,” as we read in Acts 1:20 (quoted also from Psalm 109:8, David's reference to Ahithophel).

In regard to the Debt Note, the above facts are crucial to understanding how this will be fulfilled and who will inherit the first resurrection (Rev. 20:4-6). Who will God entrust with the administration of the blessings of Abraham to the rest of the world? Will He entrust this to those who support the violent method of Barabbas, Begin, Shamir, Ariel Sharon, and the Likud-style of Zionism? Or will He entrust this office to those who believe in the Prince of Peace? You know my opinion on this.

In 1914-1917 the 2,520 years began to come to an end for the rule of the Babylonian Succession of Empires. Throughout those 2,520 years, the Debt Note was passed from Babylon to Medo-Persia, then to Greece, and then to Rome. Then, after the Roman Empire fell, the Debt Note passed back and forth between the Roman Church and the Muslim people, as Jerusalem passed back and forth between them.

Finally, in 1917 control of Jerusalem passed to Britain in order that God might set up the last and final great scenario. Britain's flag is called "Union Jack." Jack is a shortened form of JACOB. Jacob had to receive the Debt Note, because Jacob had to rectify a great wrong that he did to his brother Esau in Genesis 27, when he lied to his father Isaac and stole the birthright.

Esau was called Edom (Gen. 36:8). Edom is the Hebrew name; Idumea is the Greek form of Edom, and this name appears in Ezekiel 36:5. Their inheritance was Mount Seir ("goats"). They are the "goats" that Jesus will separate from the true sheep of Israel (Matt. 25:32).

But as all historians plainly tell us, the descendants of Edom (Idumea) were conquered by Judah in 126 B.C. and forcibly and violently converted to Judaism. Encyclopedias all tell us plainly that from that moment Edom ceased to be a separate nation and that they were hereafter known only as Jews. Thus, Jewry has incorporated Edom and is fulfilling BOTH SETS OF PROPHECY today.

Because of the laws of tribulation (Lev. 26:40-42), Judah could not return to the land without first confessing their hostility to Jesus Christ and repenting of it. But they COULD return as Edomites, because of Isaac's prophecy to Esau in Gen. 27:40, "when you shall have the dominion, you will break his yoke from off your neck." Jacob owed Esau, because Jacob sinned against Esau. He owed him a birthright. For this reason, Britain (Jacob) had to give the land back to Esau to allow Esau the opportunity to prove his unworthiness. An older son could not be disinherited from the birthright without cause.

Esau--the Israeli state--has now had more than enough time to prove to the world why God rejected him and his violent methods of taking the Kingdom by force. That is about to come to an end. He was given the birthright in 1948, and with it went the divine authorization, responsibility, and accountability to pay the original Debt Note--to give God the fruits of the Kingdom. If they had done so, they would have brought the blessings of Abraham to the world, and the Kingdom of God would have been established in righteousness. They have failed to do so, and failed miserably.

And so, after 46 years, the Debt Note was given to the overcomers in 1993.
