At the feast of Tabernacles of 2014 in Minneapolis, we gave the Babylonian rulers of this world a 3-year notice that their right to hold the Dominion Mandate was to expire in 2017. However, in their arrogance and greed, they (like Pharaoh in the time of Moses) refused to release the world and allow the overcomers to take their rightful place in a practical sense.
Just as Pharaoh was judged with ten plagues, the rulers of Mystery Babylon too began to come under divine judgment. The present turmoil in the world is evidence of that. God raised up President Donald Trump as the great Disruptor-in-Chief to do much of this work. But this is not about any man, because God Himself, our great “Redeemer,” took credit for it in Jeremiah 50: 34, saying, “He will vigorously plead their case, so that He may bring rest to the earth, but turmoil to the inhabitants of Babylon.”
The Year 2014
In September of 2013, which was the start of the year 2014 by Hebrew reckoning, I finished the last segment of my commentary on Deuteronomy. I read Deuteronomy 34:10, which says,
10 Since that time, no prophet has risen in Israel like Moses, whom the Lord knew face to face.
This was a reference to Deuteronomy 18:18, “I will raise up a prophet from among their countrymen like you.” This was Ezra’s additional commentary to the book of Deuteronomy when he compiled the Old Testament canon centuries later after the Babylonian captivity. Ezra took note that this “prophet,” the Messiah Himself, had not yet been raised up. In fact, it would be another five centuries before Jesus Christ would fulfill this prophecy (Acts 3:20-22).
As I contemplated this, it occurred to me that Jesus had died on the 1480th Passover since leaving Egypt under Moses. The Greek word, christos, or “Christ” has a numeric value of 1480. Hence, it took 1480 years for the prophet “like Moses” to complete His mission as the Passover Lamb, proving Himself to be the Christ.
My question, then, was this: How long would it be for Christ to do His second work? Is there a parallel time in regard to the second coming? I then discovered from the time that the new law of Justinian took effect in 534 A.D. until 2014 was precisely 1480 years. This put me on alert that the end had come for the laws of the little horn to remain in effect and for God’s Kingdom to replace it.
So on October 14, 2014, we put Mystery Babylon on notice. However, as I wrote earlier, the full “seven times” of God’s contract with the beast empires did not run out until 2017. So at the conference in 2014, I explained that we would have to wait another three years before the divine court would transfer the authority to the saints of the Most High.
The Year 2024
To clarify our Kingdom vision, we also need to know the importance of the year 2024 in long-term prophecy.
Jeremiah 50:34 revealed God’s intention to “bring rest to the earth.” The idea of “rest” is the primary feature of the Sabbath laws. There are Sabbath days, Sabbath years, and Jubilees, which are based on a cycle of seven Sabbath years. Each level of Sabbath is important, but bringing rest to the earth itself is part of God’s long-term plan.
In the prophecy of Jeremiah, it is in the context of being redeemed from Babylonian bondage. In the case of Judah and Jerusalem, this was a 70-year captivity, or ten Sabbath years. But we know that this 70-year cycle applied only to the captivity to the first of four beast empires. There was to be a much longer captivity of “seven times” (i.e., 360 Sabbath years, or 2,520 years).
As I already explained earlier, this long cycle would not end until 2017.
But there is a longer cycle yet that dates back to the Jordan crossing under Joshua. It is a cycle of 70 Jubilees (or 70 x 49 years, or 7 x 490 years). This long-term cycle ends in 2024.
This long-term cycle involves the Canaanites, who first came under a curse in the time of Noah. Genesis 9:25 says,
25 So he [Noah] said, “Cursed be Canaan; a servant of servants he shall be to his brothers.
Noah’s curse put Canaan on Cursed Time, which is always expressed in terms of 414-year cycles. It is actually a grace period, which gave the Canaanites time to repent in order to avoid the judgment of God at the end of the time period. In this case, the Canaanites did not repent, and so after 2 x 414 years passed, Joshua crossed the Jordan and brought judgment on them.
When the Canaanites were displaced by the Israelites, it was a prophetic type of a greater time in the future when the saints would possess the Kingdom. The main difference was that Joshua’s conquest was done by the Old Covenant sword, whereas today the conquest and overthrow of Mystery Babylon is to be done under the New Covenant “sword of the Spirit” (Ephesians 6:17).
Likewise, we are no longer establishing a very limited Kingdom in a small territory on the eastern shore of the Mediterranean Sea. Today God is setting up a worldwide Kingdom, a Universal Empire that displaces the present universal empire of Mystery Babylon. This is important, because if the saints of the Most High do not understand this, they will not have a proper Kingdom vision. Instead, they will be sidetracked by Zionism and think that the Kingdom of God is being formed in modern “Israel” and Palestine.
Zionism is based on the Old Covenant and blurs the Kingdom vision of most Christians today.
Zionism has its place in prophecy, but not as most people think. To understand Zionism and the modern state called “Israel,” one must know the prophetic history of Esau-Edom. I gave that full history in my book, The Struggle for the Birthright. But for our present purpose, it is important to see that the establishment of the state of “Israel” in 1948 was the endpoint of eight cycles of Cursed Time (8 x 414 years), dating back to Israel’s first captivity to the king of Mesopotamia (Babylon) in Judges 3:8,
8 Then the anger of the Lord was kindled against Israel, so that He sold them into the hands of Cushan-rishataim king of Mesopotamia; and the sons of Israel served Cushan-rishathaim eight years.
That was an eight-year captivity, which ended when God raised up Othniel as Israel’s first Judge, or military commander. Those eight years prophesied of a much longer Babylonian captivity that would last 8 x 414 years, ending in 1948. But instead of repenting and turning to Christ (as many expected would happen), the Jews established a state that continued to reject Jesus as the Christ. Many thought that the Jews would turn to Christ after 3½ years, but that did not happen. Then they thought surely this great repentance would occur 7 years after 1948, but that failed as well.
If they had known that the Israeli state was founded on Cursed Time, they might have had a better understanding of the times and seasons.
There are many details that one ought to know about this, more than we can cover here. The bottom line is that any Cursed Time cycle is followed by a 76-year “cleansing” cycle. In this case, 1948 plus 76 brings us to the year 2024 once again. Hence, we expect to see some major event in 2024, not only to bring rest to the earth but also to resolve the Zionist dispute.
