On November 19, 2016 Poland declared Jesus Christ to be their King.

In a ceremony at the Church of Divine Mercy in Krakow last week, Jesus was declared the king of Poland.
The ceremony, attended by Poland’s President Andrzej Duda, marked the end of the Catholic Church’s Year of Mercy.
People from around the country came together and declared Christ king over their country and their hearts….
The Conference of Polish Bishops said it was “not the culmination, but the beginning of the work of enthronement of Jesus Christ in Poland and the Polish nation.”
The ceremony, they said, was not intended to add to Jesus’ honor or power, but was rather a national recognition of His sovereignty.
Fifteen years earlier, on November 13, 2001, we ourselves issued a “solemn charge” to the overcomers before their coronation the next day, November 14. This occurred at the end of our prayer campaign called Entering the Millennium of Rest (November 1-14, 2001). So it is interesting to us that Poland’s president would declare Jesus Christ to be the King of Poland fifteen years later.
The biblical term “the fear of the Lord” was not meant to convey the idea that people should be frightened by God. It is not about fear as we might normally think, but about reverence and recognition of God as the Head of State and the One whose laws must be taken seriously. It was about recognizing God (Christ) as the King of creation, the nation, and each individual.
Psalm 111:10 says,
10 The fear of the Lord is the beginning of wisdom; a good understanding have all those who do His commandments; His praise endures forever.
The wise recognize God as King. The foolish do not recognize God at all. Psalm 14:1 says,
1 The fool has said in his heart, “There is no God.” They are corrupt, they have committed abominable deeds.
Then there are some who recognize God as King but foolishly despise and reject His law, as if it were obsolete or even dangerous. This was a problem dating back to the giving of the Ten Commandments in Exodus 20. The people were too fearful to hear the rest of the law (Exodus 21-24), so only Moses received it in his heart.
This problem of lawlessness (“anomia”) has been with us for a very long time, not only throughout the Old Testament period but also in the church. The church lacks much wisdom because they do not have the revelation of the law (Deuteronomy 4:4, 5, 6).
But we are coming into the time of the emerging Kingdom, the Universal Empire of Christ, wherein Christ will be recognized as the King. The overcomers need to be ready to rule.
