After casting out Hagar on April 3, 2016, Merle Haggart died three days later at the age of 79. We took this as a prophetic sign of the end of the Hagar-Jerusalem. Though his death probably had little or nothing to do with his personal character, God has a way of giving confirming signs to what is happening in the spirit.
Purple Rain
On the morning of April 8, I received a telephone call from a man who told me of a dream. In the dream he looked at the sky while praying, and suddenly purple petals began to rain down upon them out of the clouds. With this came a Scripture verse from Isaiah—something about “hasten.” He could not figure out what verse this was. I told him it was Isaiah 8:1, 3, 4, where the prophet was to have a son and name him Maher-shalal-hash-baz. The name means “Hasten, spoil, speed, prey.” The NASB translates it in Isaiah 8:1, “Swift is the booty, speedy is the prey.”
I remembered this name, because it has a nice ring to it. I once asked my wife if we could give one of our sons this name. She vetoed the idea immediately.
The name refers to Israel’s captivity to Assyria (Isaiah 8:4), where Israel in the flesh was cast out for being spiritual Ishmaelites. Recall from Jeremiah 2:24 that their rejection of God’s law had made them “a wild donkey,” which is the same term describing Ishmael in Genesis 16:12. Because Israel’s “mother” was Egypt, they were Ishmaelites and donkeys from a prophetic standpoint, and this is why they had to be redeemed with the Passover lamb according to the law in Exodus 13:13.
The “Prince of Pop” died on April 21, 2016. His real name was Prince Roger Nelson, and he was born and raised in Minneapolis. One of his most well-known songs was Purple Rain (1984). It was reported that he had been addicted to Percoset. A week before his death, he had nearly died of a drug overdose but was revived.
He died April 21 while returning from a concert in Atlanta. The plane was forced to land at Moline, Illinois, where “an unresponsive male” was taken to a hospital. He was registered under a pseudonym, and they said he died of the flu.
The dream about purple petals raining down from the clouds on April 8 made it clear that the man was receiving revelation about Prince, identified by his song, Purple Rain, and the fact that he died on a plane (in the clouds) which then landed on the ground. This in itself would carry little or no prophetic meaning, except for the fact that Isaiah 8:1 was given in the same dream. That is the obvious interpretation.
Prince was a prominent member of the new age cult called Eckancar, whose headquarters is in Chanhassen, Minnesota just outside Minneapolis. Eckancar was situated across the street from Prince’s compound (Paisley Park). About a year and a half earlier, I had heard about Eckancar from a Nigerian friend named Daniel. He told me about Eckancar’s huge influence in Nigeria and how it was demonic and also had a hidden political agenda. We had been led to conduct a prayer campaign against Eckancar.
Financial Turmoil
On April 13, 2016 Deutsche Bank admitted guilt in manipulating silver prices. In settling out of court, Deutsche Bank is admitting that they “conspired… to fix silver prices at the expense of investors.” Two other banks, HSBC and ScotiaBank, are being charged as well, but so far they have not admitted guilt, nor have they reached a settlement.

In addition, Deutsche Bank has agreed to provide the court with incriminating evidence against the other banks, according to their letter to the Judge. This letter is reproduced by zerohedge.
“In addition to valuable monetary consideration, Deutsche Bank has also agreed to provide cooperation to plaintiffs, including the production of instant messages, and other electronic communications, as part of the settlement. In Plaintiff’s estimation, the cooperation to be provided by Deutsche Bank will substantially assist Plaintiffs in the prosecution of their claims against the non-settling defendants.”
The next day Deutsche Bank admitted that for many years they had been rigging gold prices as well.
Strangely enough, the US Commodity Futures Trading Commission (CFTC), had found no evidence that this had happened. The CFTC, however, was never investigated for covering up the crime and for looking the other way. Unfortunately, these government “regulators” are there to regulate financial crimes and to protect the criminals in high places.
Banking Reforms in the Vatican
The Vatican Bank too has been a criminal organization since its inception in 1942, when it was used to launder Nazi money. In fact, it soon became apparent that the real power behind the Vatican was the head of its bank. The popes even claimed that they were unable to stop it, although one might question their resolve, seeing as how they benefit financially from those same crimes.
One reason Pope Benedict resigned in 2013 was because (as he said) he was too old and did not have the energy to reform the bank. It was left to Pope Francis to reform the financial and moral practices of the Cardinals and other top leaders.

The Vatican bank's shadowy dealings have been well documented over the years, particularly the 1982 death of Roberto Calvi. Calvi, known as "God's Banker," was found hanging from Blackfriars Bridge in London, his pockets stuffed full of bricks and more than 10,000 British pounds in cash. Two weeks later, the bank where Calvi served as chairman and in which the Catholic Church was the largest shareholder, Banco Ambrosiano, collapsed. The bank was suspected of laundering money from Mafia drug trafficking. The Vatican, the Italian government said at the time, was the bank's "effective partner." The Church admitted "moral involvement" in the collapse and paid creditors $241 million.
The Vatican's financial troubles became very public again in September 2010, when Italian authorities seized a 23 million euro transfer out of the Vatican bank. An Italian bank rejected the Vatican bank's request to move the money because the Vatican bank would not provide basic information -- the reason for the transaction, and the identity of the sender and recipient -- that are required by financial regulators in order to detect money laundering and other illicit activities. The lack of transparency ended up triggering a minor banking crisis, prompting other European and international banks to refuse to do business with the Vatican bank.
The situation forced then-Pope Benedict to act, but he did not remain in power long enough to complete deep reform. Much of the reform work was left to Francis, who became pope in 2013.
“Pope Francis came with the promise of change,” says the article below. It appears that he made an attempt to reform the bank, but it is difficult to root out any long-standing corruption. The article calls his actions “revolutionary.”

Europe’s smallest country - the Vatican, led by the pontiff - is one of the most powerful states on the planet, a moral compass for more than a billion people. However, over the past decades, the Catholic Church has suffered a number of scandals and its congregations are crying out for change. Pope Francis came with the promise of change…. For centuries, the Vatican has been shrouded in mystery, its internal deals secreted behind closed doors. However, one person managed to get through and came back to tell his story. Investigative journalist, author of ‘Merchants in the Temple’, Gianluigi Nuzzi….
GN: The thing is that, in the last few centuries, popes have mostly been involved in pastoral activities - not governing the state. Bergoglio is the first pope who wants to monitor the accounts and books, everyday income and expenditure of the Vatican and the Roman Curia. This is a revolutionary change – in 2013, a special commission on the Vatican’s economic structure - COSEA - began to investigate this. It’s inspecting the Vatican’s finances and running into a lot of problems….
He set universal accounting and bookkeeping criteria for all Vatican institutions. He fired those who had been stealing money, poorly managing the Vatican’s finances, paying 3 or 4 times more for simple repairs and purchases. He is the first pope to attempt this – monitoring all Vatican activities….
GN: During his first year, in 2013-2014, many tried to get in the way of his reforms, refused to submit the information that his investigative commission, COSEA, requested. The Pope is trying to reform the Vatican system. There have been many attempts to stop this revolution, and I think the war between those who want to help the pope in his fight for transparency and against corruption and those who reject the changes, is not yet over. That’s what the conflict is all about. However, I don’t think the pope can lose, because it is not just the pope’s fight, the whole Catholic Church, believers all over the world are also part of this battle….
SS: But in the beginning of the interview you said that two years is not enough to change such a conservative organization like the Vatican. How long will it take to see results?
GN: We are already seeing some results. The pope stripped influential structures of a lot of their power. Now he is working on changing legislation. The Bank’s transactions are becoming a lot more transparent. It’s the same bank that was involved in laundering money from the mafia - from the United States - it used its funds to help fight Communism in Warsaw Pact countries – Poland and Eastern Europe in general.
Bergoglio changed the situation with the bank, replaced its leadership, put priests like himself who came from Church periphery into power. He changes people, laws, promotes a new mindset. I have no idea how many years it will take but I can tell for sure that his program is revolutionary.
Because the Vatican is the “little horn” of Daniel’s prophecy, this is of interest to us. I do not think that Pope Francis will succeed in cleaning up the Vatican bank, even if he truly wants to do so. The sins of the little horn are being exposed, especially since 2002, even as the saints are rising to power, as Daniel prophesied.
