Religious leaders and others in Illinois were outraged this week, just days before Christmas, when a Satanic group unveiled its holiday display inside the Statehouse Rotunda in Springfield.
The display features a sculpture of an infant version of Baphomet, a goat-like Satanic deity, and was set up next to a traditional Christian Nativity display inside the government building, the State Journal-Register of Springfield reported.
“Hail, Satan!” members of the Satanic Temple of Illinois shouted as a leader identified as Minister Adam described what the display represented to the group, according to a video posted by the newspaper on its website.
“The Capitol welcomes a diverse range of religions every year to display holiday statues during the holiday season, so we wanted to join in on that,” the minister told WICS-TV of Springfield.
This marks the third year that the Satanic Temple has been granted space inside the Statehouse for an installation, the newspaper reported. No display was erected last year because of the coronavirus pandemic, the report said.
The original framers of the Constitution did not intend to give Satanism freedom of religion. “Religion” to them meant one of the Christian denominations. Freedom of religion meant that the federal government would not interfere in the religious practices of each of the states, which were founded on various Christian denominations.
Only in recent years have the courts perverted the intent of the founders by including Satanism as a protected religion. At the same time, Christianity has been gradually pushed out of government buildings and schools. Illinois, California, and many other states are now ruled by Satanists. But the day is soon coming when the Kingdom of God will be established and no one will be allowed to remain as citizens of any Kingdom nation unless they swear allegiance to King Jesus, whose right to rule will be a fundamental principle.
Freedom of conscience, of course, will be maintained, as there are many differences of opinion among Christian denominations. These differences will become minimal when the laws of God become the law of the nation and when the glorified overcomers will be able to teach the law and explain its meaning and application to the general public.
When the Holy Spirit is poured out, many Satanists and witches will come to know Jesus for who He really is. Right now, they have been given a false impression of Him, and it is that false picture that they reject. Furthermore, Satanists and witches will no longer be able to infiltrate the churches, because Christians will then develop spiritual discernment to expose them in their midst.
