I was in Canada during the feast of Trumpets and the Day of Atonement (Jubilee) in 1996. On the weekend of September 13-15, I spoke at a conference in Windsor, which is just across the river from Detroit, Michigan. Rosh Hoshana, the feast of Trumpets, fell on September 13. The following weekend I spoke at another conference in Toronto on September 20-22.
Yom Kippur, the Day of Atonement, fell on September 23. On that day I went with a friend named David to the CN Tower in Toronto to pray and proclaim the 120th Jubilee from Adam. The CN Tower was patterned after the obelisk at the temple of On in Egypt. Being located in TorONto, ONtario, it was built there because both the city and province contained the name of the Egyptian city, On.
We proclaimed the Jubilee to set creation free from the gods of Egypt.
The Revelation of the Hezekiah Factor
In my book, Secrets of Time, I proved by Scripture and by actual history and astronomy that the Jubilee trumpet should have been blown on October 13, 1986. This was Yom Kippur in 1986, but no one at that time seemed to realize that this was the great 120th Jubilee from Adam. I too had just entered Cursed Time and was not in a position to declare the Jubilee, so God hid it from me at that time. The prayers for revival at that time were, in part, designed to bring the revelation of the Holy Spirit so that we would be able to take appropriate action.
The bottom line was that the Jubilee trumpet was not blown, and the actual Jubilee passed without being proclaimed or kept.
But God had a marvelous plan by which the Jubilee could be proclaimed ten years late and made retroactive to the proper time. The pattern had been set in the time of Hezekiah, king of Judah, where the clock (i.e., the sun dial) saw the shadow reverse course "ten steps" (2 Kings 20:11) or "ten degrees" (2 Kings 20:11 KJV).
I had received this revelation in Winnipeg, Manitoba on October 2, 1994 where I had been asked to speak at a conference at the Viscount Hotel. This revelation was a Blessed Time event, because the revelation came 490 days after Pentecost, May 30, 1993, which was the day that King Saul died on the 40th Jubilee of the Pentecostal Age.
Winnipeg was also the top point of the star in Sister Thea’s “Star Vision.” It was the city that united Canada and the United States.
Three of us drove together from Seattle to Winnipeg. My name, Stephen, means “crown.” With me was my son Ryan, whose name means “little king,” and David Adamiak (“son of Adam” or “son of man.”) It occurred to me that we were going to Winnipeg to “crown king David, Son of Man.”
Repairing the Breach
I received this revelation at 1:00 in the morning, and a few hours later the conference had scheduled a question-and-answer forum. The first question asked was about the split between Britain and the USA in 1776. Being an America myself, I thought it appropriate for me to speak for the American side.
I explained how this split re-enacted the split between Israel and Judah after the death of Solomon (Isaiah 30:26 KJV; 58:12 KJV). It was a breach between the Scepter of Judah and the Birthright of Joseph, which could only be repaired when both nations crowned Jesus Christ as their King.
The main Scripture we claimed was Ezekiel 37:16, 17, 19, 22, which prophesied about the stick of Judah being reunited with the stick of Joseph and becoming one in Christ’s hand. Hosea 1:10, 11 also prophesied,
10 … And in the place where it is said to them, “You are not My people,” it will be said to them, “You are the sons of the living God. 11 And the sons of Judah and the sons of Israel will be gathered together, and they will appoint for themselves one Leader [i.e., Christ].
The day we prayed and thus prophesied the re-unification of Canada and the USA, October 2, 1994, happened also to be 8 x 153 days after May 18, 1991, which was the day that we established the New Net of Prayer in Batesville, Arkansas. The timing was remarkable for its connection with John 21:11,
11 Simon Peter went up and drew the net to land, full of large fish, a hundred and fifty-three; and although there were so many, the net was not torn.
The Hebrew phrase, beni h’ Elohim, “Sons of God,” has a numeric value of 153. Likewise, “the nets” in Greek has a numeric value of 8 x 153, as does also “the fishes.” The entire story is about gathering the sons of the living God under one Leader, Jesus Christ. They were to be gathered by Christ’s disciples as they cast out their net on the right side of the boat (John 21:6).
As I explained earlier, this passage was the basis for the establishment of the New Net of Prayer on May 28, 1991 after a five-year delay. Hence, precisely 8 x 153 days later, we were led to pray to repair the breach between the Scepter and the Birthright under our Leader, Jesus Christ.
The revelation itself showed me how we could proclaim the Jubilee ten years late in 1996 and make it effective retroactively to the proper time in 1986.
The Hezekiah Factor
Hezekiah was the king in Jerusalem when the Assyrian army conquered all of “the fortified cities of Judah” (2 Kings 18:13). and deported most of the people of Judah. The Assyrian records tell us that they conquered 46 walled cities and deported 150,000 men of Judah to Assyria, leaving only the city of Jerusalem which was packed with refugees.
In the story of King Hezekiah, we read in 2 Kings 20:1,
1 In those days Hezekiah became mortally ill. And Isaiah the prophet the son of Amoz came to him and said to him, “Thus says the Lord, ‘Set your house in order, for you shall die and not live’.”
The king then prayed for mercy. While Isaiah was leaving the house, he passed by the great sundial of Ahaz, which was located in “the middle court” (2 Kings 20:4). There God told him to return and tell the king that God had granted him a 15-year extension of life.
Hezekiah asked for a sign, a double witness, to know that the word was true (2 Kings 20:8). The prophet gave him a choice in 2 Kings 20:9-11,
9 Isaiah said, “This shall be the sign to you from the Lord, that the Lord will do the thing that He has spoken; shall the shadow go forward ten steps or go back ten steps?” 10 So Hezekiah answered, “It is easy for the shadow on the stairway [of the sundial] to decline ten steps; no, but let the shadow turn backward ten steps.” 11 Isaiah the prophet cried to the Lord, and He brought the shadow on the stairway back ten steps by which it had gone down on the stairway of Ahaz.
So the Hezekiah Factor is when God turns back the clock ten steps and then gives an extension of fifteen years. This usually works out to mean that God turns back the clock ten years, and from there we must watch events occurring fifteen years later.
In our case, we proclaimed the Jubilee in 1996, and God turned back the clock ten years to 1986 to make the Jubilee applicable at the proper time. Then we were to look ahead fifteen years (2001) when the extension of time expired. That, of course, brought us to the demolition of the Twin Towers on September 11, 2001, which will be covered later.
“In Those Days”
2 Kings 20:1 dates Hezekiah’s prayer by saying, “in those days.” In what days? It refers to the days in the previous chapters when the Assyrian army attempted to conquer Jerusalem.
If we study the chronology, we see that the Assyrians captured Samaria, the capital of Israel, in the sixth year of Hezekiah’s reign (2 Kings 18:10). This was 721 B.C. It was also the 14th Jubilee since Israel’s Jordan crossing under Joshua. Of course, the Israelites had never kept a Jubilee in their entire history, and their 14th Jubilee was no different. So God proclaimed a reverse Jubilee, where God gave the land a rest from the Israelites.
The same was done with Judah in 2 Chronicles 36:21, where God removed the people of Judah so that the land could keep its Sabbaths (and Jubilees) which they had never kept. Their Babylonian captivity was God’s judgment for sin, and the time of their captivity was 70 years, because they owed God 70 rest years and Jubilees. (See Secrets of Time, chapter 7.)
The 14th year of Hezekiah was the year 713 B.C., when the Assyrians conquered most of Judah and then laid siege to Jerusalem (2 Kings 18:13). When the king appealed to Isaiah, the prophet, he received the answer in 2 Kings 19:29, 30, 31,
29 Then this shall be the sign for you: you will eat this year what grows of itself, in the second year what springs from the same, and in the third year sow, reap, plant vineyards, and eat their fruit. 30 The surviving remnant of the house of Judah will again take root downward and bear fruit upward. 31 For out of Jerusalem will go forth a remnant, and out of Mount Zion survivors. The zeal of the Lord will perform this.
Isaiah’s terminology comes from Leviticus 25, where we read about Sabbath land rests and Jubilees. Leviticus 25:4, 5 reads,
4 but during the seventh year the land shall have a sabbath rest, a sabbath to the Lord; you shall not sow your field nor prune your vineyard. 5 Your harvest’s aftergrowth you shall not reap, and your grapes of untrimmed vines you shall not gather; the land shall have a sabbatical year.
In Leviticus 25:12 we read,
12 For it is a jubilee; it shall be holy to you. You shall eat its crops out of the field.
This does not mean they were allowed to harvest their fields in a Jubilee year. It means that they were to eat what comes up naturally, because they were not supposed to sow or reap during the 49th and 50th calendar years.
Hence, Isaiah’s terminology in 2 Kings 19:29 describes a 49th and 50th year on their calendar. They were to “eat this year what grows of itself, in the second year what springs from the same.” Then in the third year, which was the year after their Jubilee, they were to “sow, reap, plant vineyards, and eat their fruit” as they would in any normal year.
By describing a three-year cycle that climaxed with a year of Jubilee, he was applying it to the eighth, ninth, and tenth year from the fall of Samaria in 721 B.C. Essentially, he was saying that a Jubilee would be granted ten years late. The mechanism for this is then given to us in the next chapter, where we read how God turned the clock back ten steps on the sundial. This took place “in those days.”
This was the revelation I received on October 2, 1994. God gave me two years in which to study this and to understand it so that it could be applied on Yom Kippur of 1996. We were faithful to do this at the CN Tower in Toronto, knowing by faith that God would apply it to 1986 by a manipulation of time that only He could do.
The Overcoming Remnant
Isaiah’s prophecy was tied to the “surviving remnant of the house of Judah” (2 Kings 19:30). Hezekiah had no children at the time, and when he faced certain death, there was danger that the line of the Messiah would be cut off. In the greater picture, if the Assyrians were to capture Jerusalem, it was likely that Isaiah and his own children would also be killed. Isaiah’s oldest son was named Shear-jashub, “the remnant will return” (Isaiah 7:3). If Shear-jashub were to be killed, what would that do to the prophecy that he represented?
The ability of Judah to eat the fruit of the land after the proclamation of the Jubilee prophesied of the remnant taking root downward and bearing fruit upward. The “fruit” in this case was typified by their crops but fulfilled in the overcoming remnant that was to be established in the house of David.
In our time, this prophecy was established in 1996, ensuring that this remnant would indeed survive, take root, and bear fruit. For this reason, I am confident that the overcoming remnant will rule with Christ in the age to come (Revelation 20:6). Even though the church failed to proclaim a Jubilee in 1986, God had already planned to overcome that problem in 1996.
