As it turned out, our study in Isaiah concluded on February 16 (2/16), which was one of the most significant prophetic watch dates this month. On our calendar, it is the resurrection day for the Second Passover, and it signifies new life, a major change.
When I started this series a year ago, I wrote that I expected this to be my final commentary on these weblogs. I did not mean to imply that I would stop writing weblogs, or even that I would stop doing Bible studies. In fact, I may be led to do a commentary on a short book of the Bible. Who knows? I will do as I am led.
Right now, I have no direction or leading.
Cold Temperatures
It has been cold lately, as many of you know. We saw -18F earlier this week. For the past two weeks I have been somewhat hampered in my work, because my office has too many windows and the heating unit cannot keep up with the cold. So when I arrive at the office in the morning, the office temperature has been 46-49 degrees. I keep my coat and hat on while writing the weblogs, but my fingers don’t work as well.
(When writing Bible study weblogs, I never know if I will need my resources (library books), so I like to write these at the office.)
In the past 2 weeks, I have been going home after finishing the weblog. I can do a lot of my work at home where it is warm and where my fingers feel younger.
I hear that the weather will begin to warm up, beginning today.
Projections for the New Future
The first thing I must do is to format the commentary on Isaiah into book form. Book 9 was a bit long, so it may end up as 10 books in all. I have to re-read all that I have written and make changes and corrections before giving it to the proofers. This will take a few months to finish.
Meanwhile, it seems that our second 76-day cleansing cycle (Jan 19 to April 4) is where we will be making final preparations for the new and enhanced ministry that we see coming. I believe that this same time cycle will see major changes in government as well.
I am doing a lot of study to learn how to lay the foundations for this new type of ministry as an ambassador for Christ (2 Corinthians 5:20) with the ministry of reconciliation. We are called to participate in the reconciliation of the world, which is broken down into three arenas: “things in heaven, things in earth, and things under the earth” (Philippians 2:10). God has created all of these, and all of these need to be restored to God’s Kingdom.
What this ministry has done in the past has been limited in all three realms, though we have already done some work in each. But I expect to expand our reach in the coming days. Many people have some understanding of how to reconcile things in earth, but fewer people understand how to reconcile “things” in the other two arenas.
I am finding that I have much to learn (by study and by prayer). This will take time, but I will also be learning while ministering in many places. So it will be on-the-job training. I will continue to keep you informed as I am able, and also to keep up on current events as well as short Bible studies and other insights.
