In 2009 President Barack Obama was nominated and received the Nobel Peace Prize even before he had done anything. Yet many wars were fomented or continued during his two terms as president. Not that this was anything new. It has been a long time since a president failed to start a new war.
The nomination submitted by Christian Tybring-Gjedde, a member of the Norwegian Parliament, lauded Trump for his efforts toward resolving protracted conflicts worldwide.
“For his merit, I think he has done more trying to create peace between nations than most other Peace Prize nominees,” Tybring-Gjedde, a four-term member of Parliament who also serves as chairman of the Norwegian delegation to the NATO Parliamentary Assembly, told Fox News in an exclusive interview.
Tybring-Gjedde, further, praised Trump for withdrawing a large number of troops from the Middle East. “Indeed, Trump has broken a 39-year-old streak of American Presidents either starting a war or bringing the United States into an international armed conflict. The last president to avoid doing so was Peace Prize laureate Jimmy Carter,” he wrote.
President Trump has consistently opposed useless and endless wars since he first began to campaign for the presidential nomination. Now that we are nearing the end of his first term in office, we can say that he is the first president in many decades who did not start a new war and has, in fact, been disengaging from Syria and Afghanistan.
On the positive side, in the past month Trump has brokered peace agreements between the United Arab Emirates (UAE) and Israel…

between Kosovo and Serbia…

and between Bahrain and Israel…
All three involve Muslim countries. That is indeed historic. Has there been a historic peace agreement of this kind since the days of Jimmy Carter more than 40 years ago, when he brokered a peace agreement between Egypt and Israel?
For this feat, Trump is now being nominated for the second time for the Nobel Peace Prize.
Joe Biden calls this an “accident.” He and his fellow Democrats were predicting in 2016 that if Trump came into office, he would immediately embroil the US in another foreign war. Much like Clinton, Bush, and Obama had done in the past. Their predictions were greatly exaggerated.
The Atlantic, a left-wing periodical that spares no expense in denouncing Trump, is now calling for an end to the Nobel Peace Prize program altogether.

It seems to me that it should have ended in 2009 after the Obama fiasco. That is when they really discredited themselves. It is more of a surprise that the Nobel committee would nominate a non-Socialist. The program was set up years ago to honor and monetarily reward Socialists and anyone else who supported the New World Order.
The big question, of course, is whether or not these peace agreements will endure long-term. Many Christians are geared toward the idea that any peace deal at all is bad news for Israel, and so they oppose it. They quote Paul in 1 Thessalonians 5:3, “While they are saying, “Peace and safety!” then destruction will come upon them suddenly…”
Well, it does appear that peace is a sign of a soon-coming destruction upon Jerusalem. So it is no wonder that Christian Zionists don’t want a peace agreement. They prefer endless conflict. But Christians were warning against peace decades ago when Egypt and Israel signed a peace agreement. Others saw it in terms of “Jacob and Esau” embracing. Of course, by not knowing history, such people mistakenly thought Egypt was “Esau” in that situation.
When the agreement was signed first between Israel and the UAE, I wondered how significant this might be. The UAE is, after all, quite small in the world. But with the next two agreements coming on its heels, it is clear that something very big is happening behind the scenes. Few people foresaw any of these. It seems that there were no leaks, so the news media was taken by surprise.
It will be interesting to see if other countries follow suit. If Saudi Arabia signs an agreement with Israel, that should pretty much seal the deal as the fulfillment of 1 Thessalonians 5:3. Q has posted that “Israel will be last,” implying that this problem will be dealt with last. Q did not explain what that meant. Will Trump’s peace agreements save the day for Israel, or will it signal the end of Israel in fulfillment of Jeremiah 19:10, 11?
