Under the DNA fingerprint Act of 2005, federal law enforcement agencies are required to collect DNA samples from arrested or detained individuals.
However, in March 2010 Attorney General Janet Napolitano set aside that law temporarily, with the provision that she would implement it over the next year. However, it appears that this was just an excuse to bury the law and hope everyone forgot about it.
Now a whistleblower has stepped forward, drawing everyone’s attention to this violation of the 2005 law passed by congress.
I noticed that during the Obama administration, a new white house policy was implemented, where they would ignore congressional laws when they wished. This has since become increasingly apparent when it comes to immigration laws, but it sets a dangerous precedent for any law that a presidential administration may wish to ignore.
