In recent weeks I have been a little frustrated because our heavenly Father would not give me any information about the upcoming Tabernacles conference. My complaint was that there are many people who need to plan ahead, so we should not wait so long to give them the information that they need.
At the same time, I am always aware that He works all things out in His own way and time. He always seems to be late, but He is always on time. It’s just one of those paradoxes that test our faith and try our patience. Perhaps He understood that I was going to write about patience on the weblogs, and so we were all required to experience patience firsthand.
A few days ago I awoke with a fresh revelation about the theme for the Tabernacles conference. In the past year the theme has been about Cleansing the Heartland of America. We have now completed that theme. The theme in October of this year will be Restoring the Hearts of the Children to the Fathers.
Elijah and Elisha
This Restoration theme is best known for its association with Elijah and (by extension) John the Baptist. The angel told John’s father in Luke 1:17,
17 And it is he who will go as a forerunner before Him in the spirit and power of Elijah, to turn the hearts of the fathers back to the children, and the disobedient to the attitude of the righteous, so as to make ready a people prepared for the Lord.
Later, Jesus said in Matthew 17:11, “Elijah is coming and will restore all things.” So turning the hearts of the fathers back to the children and the disobedient to the attitude of the righteous is described by the term “restoration.” Back in the days of Elijah himself, he ended the famine with the well-known “Elijah showdown” on Mount Carmel in 1 Kings 18. There, he rebuilt the altar of God with the 12 stones representing the tribes of Israel (1 Kings 18:31, 32). When the fire of God consumed his sacrifice, the people’s hearts were turned from Baal to Yahweh. Elijah’s prayer in 1 Kings 18:37 says,
37 Answer me, O Lord, answer me, that this people may know that Thou O Lord, art God, and that Thou hast turned their heart back again.
It appears, then, that we have come to this time in prophetic history once again. The theme indicates to me that God is soon to pour out His Spirit, which will turn the hearts of the people and restore them to God.
John came in the spirit and power of Elijah to prepare the way for Christ’s first coming, as He fulfilled the spring feasts (Passover to Pentecost). But Elijah carried only a single portion of anointing, and so did John. Though it was sufficient for them at the time, only the double portion can complete the work in preparing for Christ’s second coming (work). So in our time, we no longer look for Elijah per se, but for Elisha, who completed Elijah’s work with the double portion.
This was the revelation that we received in late 2008 and early 2009, just before declaring the start of the Elisha ministry on April 12, 2009 at the conference in Manassas, Virginia. After that declaration, we began to see the sequence of signs that ran parallel to the miracle-signs done by Elisha in the early chapters of 2 Kings.
Elijah himself performed eight miracle-signs, while Elisha performed sixteen.
The Elisha Signs
The first eight signs of Elisha were seen between April 12, 2009 and July 9-15, 2010. The eighth sign had to do with the Gulf oil spill that occurred on April 20, 2010, which threatened to kill all life in the entire Gulf Basin of the Gulf of Mexico. After a few weeks of nonstop oil pouring into the Gulf, we received revelation from God that this was the eighth sign of Elisha in 2 Kings 4:38-41,
38 When Elisha returned to Gilgal, there was a famine in the land. As the sons of the prophets were sitting before him, he said to his servant, “Put on the large pot and boil stew for the sons of the prophets.” 39 Then one went out into the field to gather herbs, and found a wild vine and gathered from it his lap full of wild gourds, and came and sliced them into the pot of stew, for they did not know what they were. 40 So they poured it out for the men to eat. And it came about that as they were eating of the stew, that they cried out and said, “O man of God, there is death in the pot [ciyr, “pot, basin, cauldron”].” And they were unable to eat. 41 But he said, “Now bring meal.” And he threw it into the pot, and he said, “Pour it out for the people that they may eat.” Then there was no harm in the pot.
Our revelation was that the Gulf Basin was today’s “pot” that had death in it, and that we were to cast barley meal into it in order to overcome death with life. Scripture does not tell us what type of meal (flour) it was, but this occurred in a time of famine. In times of famine, wheat crops fail, and only barley is hardy enough to survive.
Further, a sheaf of barley was waved on Resurrection Day, the first Sunday after Passover (Leviticus 23:11). Hence, barley is associated with life. I believe that Elisha threw barley into the pot to overturn the “death in the pot.”
It happened that we were going to have a conference on the weekend of July 10, 2010, and that Fran Fisher was going to be one of the speakers. She came early, because she had always wanted to see the source of the Mississippi River. On July 9 thirty-two of us went to northern Minnesota to Lake Itasca, out of which flowed the Mississippi River. At 2:16 pm I cast barley meal into the source of the river, which would flow down to the Gulf of Mexico, declaring “life” to overturn the “death in the pot.”
The oil spill was capped six days later on July 15, 2010 at 2:24 pm. It was 144 hours and 9 minutes since we cast barley into the Mississippi River.
That was how we saw the eighth sign of Elisha fulfilled in our time, and it established July 9-15 as a time to watch in regard to “barley.”
It only took about 15 months to see the first eight signs of Elisha completed, and so we thought that we would immediately see the final eight signs (the double portion) begin shortly. However, it has been nearly seven years as of today, and still we have seen no sign of the ninth sign. We have had period confirmation that we were still in the “Elijah” portion, so we knew that we had not missed it. Still, it was puzzling, somewhat disconcerting, and certainly tried our patience.
The Ninth Sign
The ninth sign of Elisha moves him past Elijah into new territory with a greater anointing of the double portion. The first eight signs only equaled Elijah, so in that sense, those signs could be seen in terms of both prophets. The ninth sign steps forth into a new realm and leaves Elijah behind. 2 Kings 4:42-44 says,
42 Now a man came from Baal-shalishah, and brought the man of God bread of the first fruits, twenty loaves of barley and fresh ears of grain in his sack. And he said, “Give them to the people that they may eat.” 43 And his attendant said, “What, shall I set this before a hundred men?” But he said, “Give them to the people that they may eat, for thus says the Lord, “They shall eat and have some left over.” 44 So he set it before them, and they ate and had some left over, according to the word of the Lord.
Once again, this is a “barley” sign, but this is about multiplying the bread to feed “a hundred men.” It is the Old Testament story that runs parallel to the New Testament story of Jesus feeding the 5,000 in John 6:4-14. There again, Jesus multiplied barley (John 6:9, 13).
Just as the steward in Elisha’s day questioned the sanity of the man who told him to feed a hundred men with just 20 loaves of barley flat-bread, so also Philip questioned Jesus, saying in John 6:7,
7 Philip answered Him, “Two hundred denarii [or “dinars”] worth of bread is not sufficient for them, for everyone to receive a little.”
I believe that this is a hint that Iraqi dinars are involved in this multiplication of bread. The dinar is the currency of a number of Arab states today, including Iraq. When the Gulf War was launched in 1990, the US-led coalition destroyed most of the value of the Iraqi dinar. The sanctions made it impossible for Iraq to pay bills through the SWIFT system in international trade. Then in 2003, when the US invaded Iraq and overthrew Saddam Hussein, the old currency was replaced by a new currency, but its value was still only about 4000 dinars to 1 US dollar.
The value has since increased to about 1100/1, but it has yet to recover to its former value, which ought to be priced according to Iraq’s actual economy and real wealth (oil, gold, agriculture). It appears to me that, in spite of long delays that try our patience, the day will come when a new value will be set on the Iraqi dinar, probably in the range of 3-4 dollars per dinar. In other words, one dinar will have 3 or 4 times the value of one US dollar.
Only time can prove all things, of course, but I believe that this revaluation will mark the ninth sign of Elisha. This will not be the only currency whose value will be reset. The interim years has seen a broadening of the plan, so that it is now a Global Currency Reset, which adjusts virtually all currencies in the world to fair market value, relative to each other.
In this reset, the US dollar will probably move lower, because it is currently overvalued. Other currencies that are currently undervalued by countries trying to achieve a trade advantage, will be raised to a realistic level.
But for our purposes, the ninth sign of Elisha is about provision, multiplying the bread (so to speak) in order to fund the last half of the Elisha ministry. The tenth sign (2 Kings 5) is about the healing of the leper (Naaman, the Syrian). The law of cleansing lepers is revealed in Leviticus 14, where we see that it takes two doves to cleanse a leper. This appears on our official logo for the ministry, so I have reason to take this personally.
To me, it is the provision to launch a worldwide ministry, taking the Gospel of the Kingdom outside our borders in a greater way, even as Elisha’s ministry went beyond Israel’s borders and affected Syria. In fact, the rest of the signs in Elisha’s time involve Syria, so I see this as a sign that the rest of the Elisha signs today will be revelations about the worldwide ministry.
Yet all of this awaits God’s timing for provision to be able to expand the ministry to other nations. Of course, if God wishes to provide in unexpected ways, I will not be unhappy.
Watching July 9-15, 2017
We watch July 9-15 every year, because it is a known “barley” watch time. The past 7 years we have not had any early indications that the ninth sign of Elisha might be fulfilled at this time. The dates have had some importance in other ways each year, but not in terms of Elisha’s sign. But in the past two weeks, we have had some indications that 2017 might be the year of fulfillment.
The first hint came on June 23, 2017, while my wife and I were in Green Bay, Wisconsin to witness an apostolic ordination of a friend named Paul. (He is now the Apostle Paul!) The man doing the ordination prophesied over me, telling me, “I see you traveling abroad.” He saw me traveling over the ocean to Asia and to Kenya, not knowing that I am already making preparations to go to Cambodia in November to cleanse “the killing fields” of innocent blood that was shed there in the 1970’s.
But the man of God then spoke specifically of Kenya. He did not know that some years ago God woke me up early one morning by literally calling my name. I woke up out of a deep sleep, and before I could gather my scant wits, He said, “Go to Kenya first, then to South Africa.” I had not been dreaming of anything like that, so I realized that this was not something I had “dreamed up.” So I have wondered about this for the last five years or so. I have many invitations to Kenya, but I have had to put them off, telling them, “God has not yet released me.”
Anyway, this prophecy was the first indication that I might be released soon—which means that divine provision must be coming soon.
By the way, the Apostle Paul’s first apostolic decree immediately after his ordination was: “The glory of the Lord will cover the earth as the waters cover the sea.” That was a nice touch. I have no doubt that his decree of the restoration of all things will be fulfilled!
This also coincides with a Spirit-filled pastor in Indiana who introduced his church to the concept of the Restoration of All Things this past week end. I talked to him on the phone last evening, and he tells me that the people accepted it without any problem. There are about 200 in his church. Robbie Yeats has known him for about three years. I have been communicating with him for the past few weeks.
The Cloquet Decree
Yesterday, July 3, 2017, I drove with friends north on Interstate 35 to a city just 15 miles south of Duluth, Minnesota. Duluth is at the western end of Lake Superior, and we associate it with the fourth letter of the Hebrew alphabet, the Daleth, which means “open door.”
Last year we felt led to hold a conference in Duluth, but then discovered it was far too expensive for people to afford. So we held the conference here in Minneapolis at the Double Tree Hotel in proxy for Duluth. The theme was about the Open Door, of course.
Cloquet is like a suburb of Duluth. Both cities are built around the St. Louis river which flows north into Lake Superior. The reason that we drove to Cloquet is because of a prophetic word from Michael Hudson, a missionary in Africa, who spoke about the Nephilim who were watching the open door (portal, gate) in that area. The Nephilim were to be replaced by two Seraphim, who would release worship and the Kingdom of God into the region. Further, this was not merely a local portal, but was also an opening that will have a “global impact.”
So last evening we drove to Cloquet and met with a local prayer group. I was in a supporting role, not a leadership role. Sean then prayed and prophesied of restoring the hearts of the children to the fathers and the fathers to the children! We also cleansed the land, the river, and the atmosphere (heavens above) and established the two Seraphim to guard the gate (Duluth/Cloquet).
Tabernacles Conference
From the river, we walked to the building that the local Cloquet prayer group had just purchased that same day. It is an old theater that was rebuilt with a new wooden floor that would hold about 200 people. The main entrance leads into a coffee shop, and then one either goes upstairs to the main meeting room, or straight ahead to the playroom for the children. One of the ladies (Linda) suggested that we hold our Tabernacles conference there. So I asked the one in charge what he would think of the idea. He thought it was a great idea.
So it appears that this could be where we will meet either the first or second weekend in October. We have not finalized anything yet, but if it works out, I will then have to make another trip to Cloquet to make arrangements with some of the hotels in the area. This is still an early report, so I do not have details yet. Nonetheless, because it is now late in the season, I wanted to let you know of the progress so far.
The bottom line is that Cloquet is essentially the same as Duluth. There is a regional airport outside of Duluth. More important, it appears that last year our discernment about holding a conference in Duluth was still too early, and that our Father had 2017 in mind. We have now secured the gate over that area, a gate which will have a “global impact.” We know it as a sign of the Open Door work of taking the Gospel of the Kingdom outside the borders in a greater way than we have done so far. Its overall purpose is the Restoration of All Things, which was started by Elijah but must be finished by Elisha.
Provision
All of this implies that provision is coming soon to a theater near you. This provision is needful, not only for the work ahead, but also to be able to prepare for trouble ahead.
I wrote some months ago that I was concerned about a sizable earthquake hitting the Northwest. This is, after all, 2017, and the fall of Babylon is said to be triggered by a great earthquake (Revelation 16:18). Washington is the spiritual headquarters for Washington D.C. A physical earthquake in Washington state would be a sign of a political/economic earthquake in Washington D.C. And with the economy in such a fragile position since 2007, a mega quake could quite literally bankrupt the insurance companies, banks, and ultimately, the country.
My concern has only grown since then. I know, of course, that God will certainly protect many who are called to live through such disasters, but some will be called to move out of the danger zone. Those called to move away will need the provision to do so. Yet even those who are led to stay will be much better off if they are prepared. Preparation is not just for you, but for others who have not prepared in any way. Many assume the government will come to the rescue, but if the government could not even handle Hurricane Katrina in New Orleans, how could anyone rely on the government in the midst of a large earthquake?
The possibility of a disaster increases the probability of July 9-15 being a time of provision, assuming that such an earthquake may occur later this year.
August 23 Prayer Campaign: Early Notice
Our heavenly Father is leading us to hold a prayer campaign on August 23, 2017. I do not know much about it yet, but so far we understand that this will be designed to pray for protection for God’s people during the fall of Babylon that is coming. This would also include protection in the midst of physical disasters.
This world is a dangerous place, and it is getting to be more dangerous each year. There is hardly a place that is safe, at least from the natural view. So we should not think in terms of safety, but in being where God wants us to be. That is always the safest place to be.
I recall being in Seattle when a 5.0 Richter earthquake struck as three of us prayed on a street corner at 7 pm. We finished at 7:05. The Father had told us to read John 17 and “see what I do.” When we finished, we walked around the block, only to meet dozens of people running out of the buildings. We asked them what was wrong, and they said, “Didn’t you feel the earthquake?”
Well, no, frankly, we did not. The 5.0 Richter quake struck not far away at Federal Way, Washington at 7:11 pm, but we had felt nothing. That told us that we were divinely protected, like Daniel’s three friends who did not feel the heat from the fiery furnace. By extension, we knew that all of God’s people could be protected in such times.
Always keep in mind that whatever God does (or allows to happen) is designed to set His people free from the bondage of Mystery Babylon. We are now approaching the end of a 3-year period since October 2014, where we saw the legal transfer of authority take place from the beasts to the saints of the Most High. I stated in 2014 that we should watch this 3-year period to the end of 2017, and now we are almost there.
So lift up your heads, for your redemption is drawing near. This is not a time for fear, but for faith. It is not a time of sadness, but a time for rejoicing. I believe that the Gospel of the Kingdom will soon be released into countries that know little or nothing about it. Many have heard the Gospel of Christ, or the Gospel of Salvation, but the Gospel of the Kingdom is much bigger and broader than that. God is not only saving people, but also redeeming the earth and creation itself. This is about to go beyond the walls of church buildings into the streets and governments of men.
The news is all good.
