As a result of Congress’ refusal to approve the IMF reforms, giving other nations more voting power, Treasury Secretary Jack Lew is warning of a “dangerous” situation with international relations.

Germany, France and Italy followed Britain in saying they would join the China-led initiative, despite Washington's objections to the bank's environmental and human rights standards….
With Britain’s announcement of its intent to join the AIIB, other European nations are now doing the same thing, no longer fearful of US threats and intimidation. Australia, too, is now moving in that direction.

The Sydney Morning Herald newspaper reported that Canberra could formally decide to sign up to the AIIB when the full cabinet meets on Monday.
Japan, Australia and the South Korea, all major U.S. allies, are the notable regional absentees from the AIIB. The United States, worried about China's growing diplomatic clout, has questioned whether the AIIB will have sufficient standards of governance and environmental and social safeguards.
But the opposition to the AIIB began crumbling after Britain said earlier this month that it would join the institution, maintaining it was in its national interest. France, Germany and Italy swiftly followed suit.
Australia now appears close to joining, although no formal decision has been made, and Beijing said Japan and South Korea were also considering the possibility.
This is turning into a complete route of the US position, an utter disaster for US leadership around the world. We cannot underestimate the significance of this development, because once the nations cease to fear the US government, their resentment of past intimidation will begin to surface openly.
At that point the only option the US government will have—if it wants to regain its world dominance—is to go to war.
A better option, of course, would be to repent and start using power for the benefit of others, instead of for its own self interest. But this is never the course of action that a beast nation takes, because love and humility are not the motives of beast nations.
Let us pray that the American people will repent and declare Jesus Christ’s right to rule. It is still too early for this to happen, of course, because most people still think that this means empowering the Church. The Church has been disqualified to rule in the Age to come, because it has usurped the authority of Christ during the past age. We do not need another “Christian” nation. We need the Kingdom of God.
