Today is Passover. The first of the four “blood moons” in 2014-2015 occurred last night about 3 a.m. our time. We got out of bed to witness it. A blood moon also occurred on the day Jesus was crucified. As the moon rose over Jerusalem at 5:10 p.m., it was already eclipsed. Nicodemus and Joseph had to hurry to bury Jesus’ body before the sun set.
A few hours earlier, the sun had turned black as well (Matthew 27:45). This was not an actual solar eclipse, because we cannot scientifically have both a lunar and solar eclipse on the same day. Yet it did fulfill the prophecy of Joel 2:31,
31 The sun will be turned into darkness, and the moon into blood, before the great and awesome day of the Lord comes.
Luke tells us in Acts 2:16-21 that Joel’s prophecy was fulfilled at the time of Jesus’ crucifixion. We may expect to see similar signs in the heavens before the second coming of Christ, though these never seem to appear in precisely the same form. Even so, with two Passovers in a row (2014 and 2015) coming with blood moons, it is possible that these eclipses may be signs of Christ’s second coming that is soon to come.
His coming, of course, involves many things—good things for the overcomers, “bad things” as perceived by the wicked, and fearful things for those who are uninformed.
We still have the last eight signs of Elisha to witness as we prepare the way for His coming, so I cannot say that His coming is “imminent.” There is still plenty of work to be done to prepare the way. But in the context of history, I believe that we are very close.
Not long ago, we observed four Septembers in a row (1996-1999) where Virgo, the Virgin, seemed to give birth to the moon, as described in Revelation 12. Four years in a row, the moon passed through the Virgin’s womb and moved to her feet.
Jupiter, the King’s Planet which was the “star” that led the magi to Bethlehem at the time of Jesus’ birth, will be seen in the womb of Virgo for a year from September of 2016 to September of 2017. That too is a heavenly sign of the birth of the King.
Today ends the “cleansing” period for the prophetic year that began November 14, 2013. It has been two cycles of 76 days each. It is too early in the day to know what event might mark this day. However, we are now able to observe the feast days for the rest of the prophetic year to see what God is revealing and doing in 2014. This prophetic year will end October 16, 2014, which is the eighth day of Tabernacles.
So far the project that God is developing seems to be the Global Banking Reset and the overthrow of the Western banking system of Babylon. We saw signs of this on November 14 and again 76 days later on January 30. If we see signs of this today (76 days later), it will confirm this observation. If not, we will probe deeper and see what revelation God might have for us.
Oops! I spoke too soon. The postman just walked into my office (10 a.m.) with a package and letter that establishes the sign for today. It is now confirmed. Who says postmen can’t prophesy? I now understand more fully some of the things I was required to do on November 14, 2013 while I was teaching at the Pastor’s Conference in the Philippines. Today is the “book end” that explains everything.
It will require time for me to pull together the history necessary to understand today’s sign and how it relates to the events of November 14, 2013 (when this cycle of cleansing began). In essence, it is a sign that is tied to the capture of (old) Jerusalem on December 9, 1917. That event was in the context of the important dates of 1914-1917, which I explained yesterday. Today we are seeing the “book end” a century later, and once again it confirms this 3-year time frame that we are now entering. Yesterday’s study of prophecy unwittingly set the background perfectly for today’s sign.
I will try to post it in tomorrow’s weblog.
Loving-kindness
I awoke this morning with a word from the Lord, which I want to share with you today.
The Old Testament often speaks of God’s “loving-kindness.” (Example: Psalm 6:4) It is from the Hebrew word chesed, which is defined as goodness, kindness, mercy, grace, benevolence. It seems to be the opposite of malice.
Christians have focused more upon love than kindness. That is certainly not wrong, but often our definition of love has ignored the fact that kindness is a major feature of love. This shortcoming is seen especially when we think that we are justified in withholding love from those who have been put into the category of “enemies.” When we divide our world into friends and enemies, it usually means that we limit our expression of love and kindness to our friends and feel justified in being mean to our enemies.
After all, such people are still influenced by the carnal view that God treats His friends with love but not so with His enemies (Matthew 5:43). For some reason, even many Christians have not fully understood the love of God as described by Paul in Romans 5:7-10. We learn from this that God reconciled His enemies while they were yet enemies.
This seems incomprehensible to the carnal mind—even among Christians, who so often are led more by their carnal minds than they realize.
Throughout most of Church history, it was the general opinion, even among bishops, that those who did not subscribe to the “established” creed in every detail were the enemies of the Church. As such, they could be persecuted with great malice. God was thought to be pleased with such lack of love and kindness. It was the Church’s sworn duty to stamp out all untruth, and this mission was carried out with much malice and no love or kindness. Eventually, this carnal attitude resulted in people being tortured and burned at the stake, which was the height of unkindness.
The last known example of one being burned at the stake (in Italy) occurred in 1869. Then the practice ceased. The fire of open malice was put out, but the coals of unkindness yet smoldered under the surface. The spirit of malice comes to the surface whenever Christians speak of “false cults,” for such labels imply enemies, and enemies mean that in the guise of warning we no longer have to show such people basic love and kindness.
Those who dare to think outside of accepted Church creeds have become used to the “cult” label. A cult is a minority religion, and when cults become large enough, they are given the new status of a Denomination. If they become a majority, they are given the title of a Religion. All religions start out as “cults,” if their enemies are to be believed.
The carnal mind seeks to understand the world by sorting people according to known labels. Church Councils in the past gave labels to every “heresy” imaginable. The Roman Church and Orthodox Church split in the eleventh century over a single word used to describe the precise nature of Christ. As soon as they could label a differing belief or nuance officially, they put it in the camp of the “enemy,” and people felt justified in showing such people every unkindness known to man.
Having experienced such unkindness personally, it became my quest many years ago to show kindness to those who did not see the truth “my way.” I stopped trying to force people to see it my way and learned to rely upon the Holy Spirit to reveal truth to others (as well as to myself). That is why I try to teach what I believe without trying to destroy those who differ with me.
There is no reason EVER to be unkind. When men resort to unkindness in their attempt to prove the correctness of their belief, it is always done by the carnal mind. The Spirit of God does not lead people to establish truth in a malicious way. Malice is not one of the fruits of the Spirit.
That’s my rant for today.
