If you are reading this, you noticed that our system is back on track. We lost internet connection two nights ago, and when I came to the office in the morning, I had no internet access--and no phone service, because our phone is connected to the internet.
I assumed, of course, that it was my fault, since I am right about 95% of the time.
But when my son could not find the issue, even with a degree in computer technology, we decided to call Comcast. The technician came late yesterday afternoon and asked where the connecting wire went. We walked to the back of the building, and he said, "I think I found your problem." Two large chunks of ice had slid off the roof and had taken down the wire from the telephone post. These ice chunks probably weighed 100 pounds each.
That was easier to fix than my ignorance, and so we were back on track by the time I was ready to home for the evening.
