In each of the first eight miracle-signs of Elisha manifested in the past few years, we have usually gotten some sort of early warning signal. We have been waiting for the ninth sign for more than three years now, but other than watching for “barley” dates, we have not had any actual signal—until now.
It involves a trip to the Philippines that I am planning next month. I have already purchased plane tickets and Darla and I are planning to leave November 5 and will return November 18.
I will first attend a wedding in Davao City on the south end of Mindanao, “The Promised Land.”

Then on November 14, 15 I am scheduled to teach at a pastors conference in Lake Sebu, not too far from Davao.

Since Felipe (Philip) is arranging my schedule, I do not know how often I will be called upon to teach on other days or evenings. But schedules tend to fill up quickly.
Background and Vision of the Future
In past years I have been unable to teach in many overseas locations, because in most places the people are too poor to fund conferences. Hence, to do conferences requires the speakers to pay for their own plane tickets, as well as conference expenses. Expenses include feeding those who attend. So the more people who attend, the more it costs.
I have dozens of standing invitations to come and teach around the world, but I have told almost all of them that I must wait until the Father releases me. I will know that I am released when I have the funds to fund such conferences. Since that will ultimately require a great deal of cash, it is clear to me that God intends to provide such funding through the ninth sign of Elisha.
The ninth sign is found in 2 Kings 4:42-44,
42 Now a man came from Baal-shalishah, and brought the man of God bread of the first-fruits; twenty loaves of barley and fresh ears of grain in his sack. And he said, “Give them to the people that they may eat.” 43 And his attendant said, “What, shall I set this before a hundred men? “But he said, “Give them to the people that they may eat, for thus says the Lord, ‘They shall eat and have some left over’.” 44 So he set it before them, and they ate and had some left over, according to the word of the Lord.
Up to now I have watched dates that are connected to barley in some way. But the story has more details than that. The other day I received an email from Felipe to let me know the arrangements for the conference. He writes,
“We plan to have it on November 14-15. Can you share a budget for that conference… We just expect around 100 pastors and delegates.”
The total cost for transportation, hotel, and providing meals for two days for the 100 pastors is about $1400. So it appears that this is directly connected to the ninth sign of Elisha. We will have to feed a hundred men, plus wives and children, no doubt.
I then took note of the dates involved, and realized that this trip is connected to the spiritual warfare from twelve years ago. From November 1-14, 2001 we engaged in a prayer campaign called “Entering the Millennium of Rest.” This campaign started on November 1, the day after Halloween. The word of the Lord said that certain Satanists had performed a human sacrifice on Halloween, giving us legal cause to “bind Satan” and many of his “princes.”
It was mainly a court battle, and we bound Satan on November 5, 2001. Yet the prayer campaign itself did not end until November 14 when we saw the crowning of the overcomers and the release of the Angel of Working Miracles. I did not include this in my book, The Wars of the Lord, but it was the climax of a year of spiritual warfare that began in January of 2001.
At the time, we did not know when this would actually apply in the world. To establish things in the heavens makes it a sure thing, but translating it into earth time can take a long time. In Daniel 10 the battles revealed to the prophet involved the overthrow of Persia and the coming of the Grecian Empire (Daniel 10:20). Daniel himself lived at the beginning of the Persian Empire. Persia would not fall for another two centuries.
So we did not know how to apply this in 2001. Hence, I refrained from writing about it. Ten years later, however, in 2011 we met at the Millennium Hotel in St. Louis for the Tabernacles conference. This was repeated in 2012. I took note of the ten-year “Hezekiah Factor” from 2001-2011, knowing that in some way we were seeing another glimpse of that earlier prayer campaign.
But now we are seeing this come up again in 2013, which is twelve years later. Ron has often taught on the 2 10 (or even the number 210) in Scripture. The tribes of Israel were divided into 2 10, Israel and Judah. Perhaps a twelve-year cycle was necessary because twelve is the number of divine government, and this climaxed with the crowning of the overcomers on November 14.
Present Discernment
The ninth sign of Elisha, where the prophet fed a hundred men with just a little barley, has its New Testament counterpart in John 6, where Jesus fed 5,000 with just a little barley and fish. In John 6:5 Jesus tested Philip by asking him, “Where are we to buy bread, that these may eat?” In verse 7 we read,
7 Philip answered Him, “Two hundred denarii [Latin word for “dinars”] worth of bread is not sufficient for them, for everyone to receive a little.”
So built into this story is the Philip factor and the dinar factor. I have believed for the past few years that the ninth sign of Elisha was the multiplication of the Iraqi dinar when it is finally revalued back to its proper value. The value of the dinar crashed in 1990 after the UN imposed economic sanctions on Iraq after the invasion of Kuwait (August 2, 1990).
What was hidden until now was the “Philip” factor along with the “hundred men.” But now we see Philip informing me about the hundred men in this upcoming trip to the PHILIPPINES. Further, the conference begins on the 12th anniversary of the crowning of the overcomers in 2001 and the release of the Angel of Working Miracles.
We cannot yet say for sure what God will do at that conference. We will just let God be God, of course, but I have no revelation that He will literally multiply the food to feed the hundred men and their families. First of all, I need to wire him the cash ahead of time in order to make the accommodations and to buy the food ahead of time. In this way it is different from the situation in John 6, where the people went out into the wilderness unprepared, having no food. To fill that need, Jesus multiplied the actual bread. But for us, we have the ability to prepare ahead of time and can hardly expect Philip to schedule a conference without preparation.
It seems to me, then, that the miracle in our day will be the revaluation of the dinar, a different kind of “bread.” This will fund a much larger outreach than just a single conference.
The point is that this Philippine trip appears to be the first real signal that the ninth sign of Elisha is coming soon. Perhaps it will happen in October, or it might actually happen on Thursday, November 14, coinciding with the conference in the Philippines. That would certainly be interesting.
While our discernment is yet hazy at this point, I expect things to become clearer in the days and weeks to come.
Projections for the Future
When the ninth sign of Elisha occurs, we will cross a very important threshold in the history of the Kingdom. Elijah performed eight miracle-signs, but Elisha received the double portion and performed sixteen signs. Up to now, though we have been watching the Elisha ministry unfold, we have remained stuck in the interim between Elijah and Elisha. Eight signs have passed, which “Elisha” has done under the single anointing received from “Elijah.”
The ninth sign begins the double portion and thus brings the inheritance with it. Once we cross that threshold, everything will begin to change. It will mark the final work to prepare the way for the second coming of Christ. It is unclear how long this preparation will last, but Scripture gives us eight signs that picture the nature of this work.
The ninth sign is the financial sign that funds the work ahead. The tenth sign is found in 2 Kings 5:1-14. It is the story of Naaman, the Syrian. He was the captain of the Syrian army who came to the prophet in order to be healed of leprosy. The prophet told him to “wash in the Jordan seven times” (2 Kings 5:10). In other words, comply with the law regarding the cleansing of lepers that is found in Leviticus 14.
In that law, the healed leper was to bring two birds and ask the priest to inspect him. The first bird was killed, and the second was dipped in the blood of the dead bird and released into the open field. The first bird represents Christ in His first coming; the second represents Christ in His second coming, because Revelation 19:13 tells us that “He is clothed with a robe dipped in blood.”
As for the leper, we read in Leviticus 14:7,
7 He [the priest] shall then sprinkle seven times the one who is to be cleansed from the leprosy, and shall pronounce him clean, and shall let the live bird go free over the open field.
No doubt this is what Elisha told Naaman to do at the Jordan River. Naaman is a prophetic type that represents the non-Israelite world that is in need of cleansing from “leprosy,” that is, mortality, by the blood of Christ and also His second coming.
This goes to the heart of our own ministry as part of the body of Elisha. Years ago, when I adopted our logo having the shield with the two birds, based on Leviticus 14, I understood what it meant, but I had no revelation about the signs of Elisha at the time. But now I see that this logo reveals the main purpose of God’s Kingdom Ministries and finds its fulfillment in the story of Naaman.
It is about the gospel going out “beyond our borders.”
The next sign is where Elisha’s servant, Gehazi, got greedy and wanted to take money for Elisha’s healing. He got paid, but he also received Naaman’s leprosy (mortality) and was thus disqualified as an overcomer (2 Kings 5:27).
Then the iron axe head fell into the river, and Elisha retrieved it by putting a small tree into the river (2 Kings 6:6). This prophesies of the Iron Kingdom (Rome), and by extension all of the world kingdoms (gold, silver, bronze, and iron) in Daniel 2, which are to be retrieved and given to the King of Kings (Revelation 11:15). A similar prophetic story is in the battle of Jericho, when all of these metals were to be put into the treasury of God (Joshua 6:19). This speaks of the Restoration of All Things.
The next signs (#13-15) occur in the stories of Syria’s invasions of Israel. First Elisha’s servant’s eyes are opened to spiritual things (2 Kings 6:17). Next (#14), the eyes of the Syrian soldiers were blinded (2 Kings 6:18), so that when they came looking for Elisha, he was able to lead them captive to Samaria. Next (#15), their sight was restored.
The main point of this story is to show how to love your enemies. When the king of Israel asked Elisha if he should kill the Syrians, he was told, “You shall not kill them… Set bread and water before them, that they may eat and drink and go to their master” (2 Kings 6:22).
The 16th sign was done after Elisha was dead and buried (2 Kings 13:21). A man’s dead body was thrown hastily into Elisha’s tomb, and the man was raised from the dead.
These are the 16 signs of Elisha. They speak of the nature of the work that lies ahead of us as we do the double portion ministry of preparing the way for Christ and His Kingdom. No doubt we will receive much greater revelation about these in the years ahead as we see them fulfilled in us. Meanwhile, however, we can learn the principles and begin to practice them today, so that when we are tested later, we will treat our enemies well, rather than torture them in Guantanamo or on ships at sea, as Babylon does today.
