The last Cardinal has now arrived in Rome to elect a new pope. The precise date of the start of their conclave is not yet known, but church law mandates that it should start by March 20.
The big undercurrent of this Conclave is the expectation that the so-called “Peter the Roman” will be elected, according to the prophecy of St. Malachy in 1140 A.D., who claimed that he would be the last Pope before the “seven-hilled city” would be destroyed.
We know of three who carry the name “Peter” in some way, as I have written earlier. The only one among them with the first name of Peter is Cardinal Peter Turkson of Ghana. The gambling industry gives 2-1 odds that he will be elected. Those who believe in the prophecies of Nostradamus cite Quatrain 6.25 in favor of Peter Turkson, for it reads:
Par Mars contraire sera la monarchie,
Du grand pescheur en trouble ruyneux;
Ieune noir rouge prendra la hirarchie,
Les proditeurs iront iour bruyneux.
Through adverse Mars will the monarchy
Of the great fisherman be in ruinous trouble:
The young red black one will seize the hierarchy,
The traitors will act on a day of drizzle.
Nostradamus used the color “red” to identify the church cardinals, and so it is thought that there would be a relatively young black cardinal who would become pope in a time of war (i.e., “adverse Mars”). Since Nostradamus died in 1566, the thought of a black man becoming pope was unthinkable in his day, so they probably interpreted this to mean something else at the time. But times change, and now a black cardinal is given 2-1 odds.
Peter Turkson of Ghana is only 63 years old, which is relatively young for a pope. Pope John Paul II was just 58 when elected in 1978, which was considered very young. As a result, he was the second longest serving pope in history, outdone only by Pius IX, who was pope from 1846-1878.
Some time ago, J.R. Church pointed out that the mystical Jewish writing known as the Zohar, written centuries ago, predicted that a meteor shower would rain down on Rome in the year 2013. The Zohar, of course, called it the year “73” (i.e., 5773), the Jewish calendar date that began last September with the feast of Trumpets. The Zohar writes,
“In the year seventy-three the kings of the world will assemble in the great city of Rome, and the Holy One will shower on them fire and hail and meteoric stones until they are all destroyed, with the exception of those who will not yet have arrived there.”
Of course, this assumes that the year “seventy-three” is 5773. However, it does not seem that this prophecy is fulfilled this year. All cardinals have now arrived, and there is no meteor shower in sight. Perhaps in another hundred years, the year 5873??
Even so, there are many Catholics who view the coming papal election with alarm. Malachi Martin, for instance, wrote some rather large books before his death, in which he deplored the election of Pope John XXIII in 1958, claiming that he was a Masonic pope. He is the one who called for the Vatican II Church Council, in which many of the traditional church teachings were discarded. Saints lost their sainthood, Latin could be discarded in church, eating fish on Friday was no longer required, and worst of all (in his opinion) the church itself was redefined as “the people of God,” rather than it being the organization and hierarchy centered in the papacy.
Martin also claimed in his book, Windswept House, that near the beginning of the pontificate of Pope Paul VI, a Satanist ceremony had taken place, which was meant to enthrone Lucifer. On page 7 he writes,
“The enthronement of the Fallen Archangel Lucifer was effected within the Roman Catholic Citadel on June 29, 1963; a fitting date for the historic promise about how to be fulfilled. As a principle agents of this Ceremonial well knew, Satanist tradition had long predicted that the Time of the Prince would be ushered in at the moment when a Pope would take the name of the Apostle Paul. That requirement—the signal that the Availing Time had begun—had been accomplished just eight days before with the election of the latest Peter-in-the-Line.”
Malachi Martin did not dare to write about all of this in a documentary style book, so he wrote Windswept House in the form of a novel. Nonetheless, we know from his other books that this was his way of exposing events that were so unbelievable that few would believe them. This Ceremony on June 29, 1963 was said to be the beginning of a Satanist take-over of the Vatican which would culminate with Peter the Roman.
Martin also testifies in his book, The Keys of This Blood, that in both 1958 and 1963 the popes who were elected were not the cardinals’ first choice. He says that Cardinal Giuseppi Siri of Genoa, Italy, was actually elected in both years, but that he refused it when asked the traditional final question: “Do you accept to be made Pope?” His response both times was “Non accepto,” or “I do not accept.” (See p. 608)
Siri was a staunch traditionalist and would never have led the church into the new path set forth in Vatican II (October 11, 1962 to December 8, 1965). Pope John XIII called for this Council, but died in 1963 in the middle of it. Cardinal Montini, a compromise candidate between the two main factions, was elected as Pope Paul VI after just three days of Conclave.
Malachi Martin was a young Jesuit priest at the time. He was a traditionalist, and when he discovered that the Jesuit General himself was behind the new liberalism, he was crushed and eventually left the Order. What disturbed him most was that “the people of God” would be the church, for he saw this as a heretical belief.
In actuality, that is precisely what the church is as defined biblically. The Greek word ekklesia has its counterpart in the Hebrew word kahal, which means “congregation, assembly.” When Acts 7:38 speaks of “the church in the wilderness,” it was not speaking of the tabernacle, nor of Moses and Aaron, but of the people as a whole. And so this new definition was actually accurate, but Martin believed that this change would erode the absolute power of the papacy itself. He was right, of course, but such power should never have been granted (or grabbed) in the first place.
The real purpose of this change of definition was not to empower the average Catholic in some sort of democratic-style church government. Rather, it was to empower the cardinals and high church officials, giving them greater power that only the popes had enjoyed previously. Hence, from then on, the popes served more like chairmen of the Board of Cardinals than a monarch on a throne.
At any rate, Pope Paul VI was elected on June 21, 1963, and according to Martin, eight days later, June 29, 1963, the infamous “Enthronement of Lucifer” took place. What is of interest to us today is the fact that a certain priest was also ordained on the same day as the Enthronement ceremony. His name is Lorenzo Baldisseri.

Pope Benedict XVI appointed him as the secretary of the Congregation for Bishops last year (January 11, 2012). His office oversees the selection of new bishops. There is now speculation that he might be the “dark horse” in the current Conclave, because of his connection to the Enthronement Ceremony in 1963. Of course, his ordination on the same day as the Enthronement Ceremony may have been just coincidental, but it is worth watching. Certainly, he does not appear to be running for election as Peter the Roman.
What is of greatest interest to us now is how these events in Rome may connect to our present Cosmic Warfare against the red dragon, which began last November and is to end on March 18. To understand this connection is difficult for the average person, especially non-Catholics, because it all seems to connect with the Fatima events of 1917. The basic account is found in the Wikipedia:
“On 13 July 1917, around noon, the Virgin Mary is said to have entrusted the children with three secrets. Two of the secrets were revealed in 1941 in a document written by Lúcia, at the request of José da Silva, Bishop of Leiria, to assist with the publication of a new edition of a book on Jacinta.[1] When asked by the Bishop of Leiria in 1943 to reveal the third secret, Lúcia struggled for a short period, being "not yet convinced that God had clearly authorized her to act."[2] However, in October 1943 the bishop of Leiria ordered her to put it in writing.[3] Lúcia then wrote the secret down and sealed it in an envelope not to be opened until 1960, when "it will appear clearer."[4] The text of the third secret was officially released by Pope John Paul II in 2000, although some claim that it was not the entire secret revealed by Lúcia, despite repeated assertions from the Vatican to the contrary.”
Many Catholics have been obsessed with the “third secret,” which was supposed to be revealed in 1960 but was instead suppressed. At least a portion of it was revealed in the year 2000, but few believe it was the entire revelation. If the popes themselves were frightened by it and suppressed it for 40 years, surely it had to contain more than Pope John Paul II had revealed.

What did the Pope tell us about the Third Secret on May 13, 2000?
In his sermon during the beatification of Blessed Jacinta and Francisco, Pope John Paul II warned us about the dangers to our salvation today by telling us that “The message of Fatima is a call to conversion, alerting humanity to have nothing to do with the ‘dragon’ whose ‘tail swept down a third of the stars of heaven, and cast them to the earth’ (Apoc. 12:4).”
By this statement, Pope John Paul II reveals that one-third of the Catholic clergy is being dragged down by “the serpent” — he is speaking in the present tense. He informs us that the biblical prophecy cited in Apoc. 12:3-4 applies to our time: “And there was seen another sign in heaven: and behold a great red dragon, having seven heads, and ten horns: and on his heads seven diadems: And his tail drew the third part of the stars of heaven, and cast them to the earth ...” (Apoc. 12:3-4)
But the Pope doesn’t say “one-third of the Catholic clergy”; he says (citing Apoc. 12:3-4) that one-third of the stars of heaven are cast down to the earth by the tail of the dragon. He does not explain what the “stars of heaven” are. We have to go to Catholic commentaries in order to know that the “stars of heaven” are consecrated souls of the clergy: cardinals, bishops, priests. So while Pope John Paul II did not say “one-third of the Catholic clergy”, he did say “one-third of the stars of heaven”.
In the language of the Bible, the “stars of heaven” are those who are set in the heavens to illumine the way for others to go to heaven. This passage has been classically interpreted in Catholic commentaries to mean that one-third of the clergy — i.e. cardinals, bishops, priests — fall from their consecrated state and are actually working for the devil. These clergy are undermining the Catholic Faith, undermining our salvation.
In my view, of course, the son of the woman in Revelation 12 is first Christ, and secondarily the overcomers. Nonetheless, we can see from this that the popes themselves view the third secret in terms of apostasy among the church leaders, suggesting that 1/3 of them will undermine traditional Catholic teachings. The fact that Sister Lucy wanted this secret to be revealed in 1960 also suggests a possible connection to Vatican II and, if true, the so-called Enthronement Ceremony in 1963.
But to publish this warning would, in itself, undermine the authority of church leaders—or at least 1/3 of them—and so it is understandable that the church did not want to publicize this for so long. It reveals a church split, and the last thing Rome wants is another split like what happened in the 16th century when the Church of England separated from Rome, or in the 11th century, when the Orthodox Church separated from Rome. It seemed that Rome was faced with a choice of expelling 1/3 of its leaders or embracing the dissenters to avoid a split.
Our interest is in the fact that we have been engaging in this war against the red dragon since November, and then suddenly Pope Benedict announced his retirement in February. Perhaps he felt that he was not young and vigorous enough to deal with this problem. But apparently, our prayer campaign is speaking into the problem in some manner. Our mission is to overthrow the red dragon, in order to set all men free. How will this affect the Roman Church? I am not sure, but it seems to be designed to benefit Catholics in particular. But, of course, the red dragon’s influence is felt far beyond the Roman Church.
In March of 2001, as we were engaged in spiritual warfare against the seven princes over America, one of those princes was the red dragon, who appeared to be leading the others while remaining in the background. When Pope Benedict announced that he would retire on February 28, we immediately saw the connection to February 28, 2001 and to the war against those seven princes. Yet that battle was not complete until March 22-24, 2001, as I wrote in The Wars of the Lord, page 162 (chapter 28). Our current prayer battle ends March 18, but we could see things happen on March 22-24 as well. We should watch these dates for signs of spiritual fallout.
