The Great Pyramid in Egypt was called Pa-Hanoch, or "House of Enoch," perhaps because it was designed by him or as a memorial to him. Its own internal dating system seems to point out 2170 or 2141 B.C. as its prophetic reference point, so it is presumed that it was built somewhere around that time. If so, this was likely built by Shem with knowledge received by Enoch.
The Pyramid has fascinated men for a very long time, as it predates Scripture itself. Joseph and Moses certainly knew of it, because they both lived in Egypt. Later, Isaiah the prophet received revelation about it and tied it to the divine plan in Isaiah 19:19-20.
19 In that day there will be an altar to the Lord in the midst of the land of Egypt, and a pillar to the Lord near its border [between Upper and Lower Egypt]. 20 And it will become a sign and a witness to the Lord of hosts in the land of Egypt; for they will cry to the Lord because of oppressors, and He will send them a Savior and a Champion, and He will deliver them.
If you continue reading, Isaiah tells us about Egypt's conversion to the true God, resulting in the divine pronouncement, "Blessed is Egypt My people" (vs. 25).
Did you know that the Egyptians are to be God's People? The altar to the Lord is already there in the midst of Egypt and at the border of Upper and Lower Egypt. It is located at Giza, which literally means "the Border."
If you take each Hebrew letter forming the two verses above (which describe the Great Pyramid), and add them all together, the numeric value of those verses equals 5,449. This happens to be the height of the Great Pyramid in inches--that is, in Pyramid Inches, which is its own internal measuring system that is very nearly the length of our own inch.
Scripture speaks of handbreadths. Seven handbreadths make a sacred cubit. Six sacred cubits make a reed. But the Pyramid adds another measurement: a thumbbreadth, which is a Pyramid Inch. A Pyramid Inch equals 1.00106 of our modern inches. Furthermore, the Polar Diameter of the earth is equal to 500 million Pyramid Inches. So we see that the ancients did not simply calculate the width of someone's thumb arbitrarily. It was a very precise scientific measurement.
Perhaps it is no coincidence that in the old Coptic language of Egypt, still used by the Coptic Christians in Egypt today, their word for "pyramid" is Urim Middin, or "Revelation Measures." It measured both time and space. In measuring time, we can view it as a huge sundial, because its shadow marked the shortest and longest days of the year.
Each side of the Pyramid is 365.242 sacred cubits, because it was meant to express the precise length of a solar year--365.242 days.
The Pyramid was also designed by weight to be one-thousand-trillionth of the weight of the earth itself. Physicists say that if you could weigh the earth, it would weigh 5.3 billion trillion tons. The Great Pyramid itself is calculated to weigh 5.3 million tons. Thus, the Pyramid is a mini-representation of the earth itself in its weight and height, and its sides reflect the earth's precise rotation around the sun by reflecting the solar year of 365.242 cubits to each side.
In other words, the Great Pyramid is God's great Altar made of earthly material, according to Ex. 20:24, "You shall make an altar of earth for Me." The law is an expression of the mind of God and reveals how He deals with His creation. For this reason, God follows His own law, for it is the rules by which creation functions. In this case, He not only commanded Israel to build an altar of earth, but He Himself built an altar of earth in the midst of the land of Egypt--which prophetically represents the world.
But, you say, the Pyramid has a square base, while the earth is round. How could the Pyramid really represent the earth in its shape? Well, the Pyramid's base is not exactly square. It looks square, but it is actually slightly curved. The curve is precisely the curvature of the earth!
In fact, because it is curved, you can measure its base in two ways. If you measure straight across from corner to corner, you get 365.242 cubits, which is the precise number of days in a solar year. But if you measure the Pyramid along its curvature, it is 365.256 cubits. This is what is called a sidereal year, the time it takes for the fixed stars to return to the same position a year later, as viewed from the earth. (A sidereal year is 20 minutes longer than a solar year.)
Is it not incredible that the Pyramid would be built with a slight curvature that would not only reflect the curvature of the earth but also provide the measures of the sidereal year? It is truly the altar of the Lord in the midst of the land of Egypt.
The Pyramid has various passage ways that slope at an angle of 26 degrees, 18 minutes, and 9.7 seconds. If you take a map and draw an East-West line through the Great Pyramid, and another from the Pyramid to Bethlehem, where Jesus was born, the angle formed by those lines is 26 degrees, 18 minutes, and 9.63 seconds. It is almost precisely the same as the passage slope in the Pyramid.
In other words, the Pyramid points to Bethlehem, as if to point out the birthplace of Jesus Christ long before Micah 5:2 pointed it out to us.
The Pyramid itself is missing a capstone, and strangely enough, this omission was pre-planned when it was built. It is as if this missing capstone was meant to prophesy something very important. In fact, we find reference to this in Psalm 118:22, "The stone which the builders rejected has become the head of the corner."
The head of a corner describes the capstone of a Pyramid. It is the headstone but also a corner where the four sides of the Pyramid meet. The builder of the Pyramid deliberately constructed the Pyramid to be off-center by 286.1 Pyramid Inches, which theoretically made its capstone not fit on the head. This number (286.1) is known as the Displacement Factor. It is also called the Rectification Factor, because it is what it takes to rectify the problem.
It reveals how Adam's sin put everything off center, ultimately requiring Christ--the headstone--to be rejected. Yet at the same time, God's solution to the problem began 286.1 sabbath-rest years after Adam's sin, when, according to the book of Jasher (13:9), Abram first went to Canaan at the age of 55. Jasher says that when Abram was 70, Abram returned to Haran for five years, and then God told him to go back to Canaan. This is where the Bible picks up the story in Gen. 12:1-4.
It is interesting to me that Abram's first trip to Canaan came 2003 years after Adam. This was 286.1 sabbath-rest years from Adam. (286 x 7 = 2002, plus the fraction = 2003.) Abram himself was the start of God's Rectification Plan for the earth. It would culminate with the two appearances of Christ--first His rejection, and later at His coronation as all things are Rectified.
In a strange way, this also gives credence to the book of Jasher, because when it was first discovered in a rabbis office in Venice and printed in 1613, this Rectification Factor was totally unknown to men. The Pyramid would not be systematically measured and studied until the 1800's. Hence, it is virtually impossible that someone could have forged this book and included this (and other) information by accident.
I do have some copies available for those interested in obtaining a copy of the book of Jasher. It is $15, plus $5 shipping. You may send a check to me or use PayPal and request a copy.
