Today is a prophetic manifestation of Passover, being the 15th day of the first month (our calendar).
Last night we had an "all-night" prayer meeting, praise, and teaching. It was not really all night. I came home at 3:00 a.m., having taught for a little over 2 hours from 11:00 p.m. to 1:20 a.m.
We have seen many prophetic signs and indicators to confirm this as an early Passover celebration. It is looking more and more positive (judging from reports) that the revaluation of the Iraqi dinar could occur within the next few days. The most likely rates are anywhere from $3.22 to $6.18. It does appear more certain from eyewitness reports that Jordan and Kuwait banks are allowing their own citizens to "cash in" now at $3.22, but if so, it is quite obvious that the banks are doing this in order to sell the dinars to the Central Bank of Iraq at a hefty profit. I call this a sale, rather than a true cash in.
Someone says he actually flew to Kuwait after being assured by telephone that he could cash in dinars at the bank there--only to be told that this was for Kuwaiti citizens only. Impatience gets you nowhere.
Since the revaluation did not occur on the 490th anniversary of Martin Luther's excommunication (Jan. 3), it may be that there is prophetic connection to Martin Luther King's birthday today. That would be strangely comparable to holding Passover in January.
Anyway, if Sunday is resurrection day (wave-sheaf offering), that should be a watch date as well. In fact, we have reason to watch every day from January 14 to 18, some for different reasons. These dates are associated with past prophetic events. One such event took place on the night of January 16, 1991, when the USA began its bombing campaign against Iraq, starting the first Gulf War. This shows an obvious connection to Iraq.
Likewise, on January 17, 1994 was the LA earthquake, and a year later on January 17, 1995 was the big quake in Kobe, Japan. The Kobe quake occurred 414 days after our prayer to overthrow Babylon (Nov. 29, 1993). Recall that Kobe (in Japanese) holds the same meaning as Babylon in the old Babylonian language: "the gate (door) of God."
There were earthquakes associated with Christ's death on the cross and again at His resurrection. So perhaps these quakes years ago are associated with today's Passover celebration and wave-sheaf offering. If so, it would indicate the overthrow of Babylon and the bondage of captivity. All of this, of course, hinges on whether our view of the present time is correct or not.
Keep in mind that I am not prophesying anything about the dinar. I have given you my bestunderstanding of prophecy, which is my interpretation about how the prophecy may apply to us today. Some are already salivating and getting their ropes ready to hang me if things don't turn out precisely according to my opinions. There are always legalistic Pharisees out there who do not know the difference between prophesying and expressing one's view of prophecy. You can tell them apart by the fact that they can't wait to hang those that they don't like, and they are looking for any excuse to destroy their perceived adversaries.
In fact, it is precisely because such people exist that I had decided to say nothing about the dinars, until a group of us decided at the feast of Tabernacles last September to share this more publicly. It was determined that if the dinars revalued as we thought they could, a lot of people would question why we did not share the information with them. So as a group, we agreed that we should present this to you and let you decide for yourselves how to respond to it. That is why I began to write about it in my blogs shortly after the Tabernacles meetings.
