Wisconsin Conference
We're getting ready to go to Green Bay, WI for a week end prophecy conference. Being the only speaker, I will be working harder than usual. Details are here:
BP News
Yesterday's BP roast resulted in a $20 billion agreement, just for starters. BP shareholders are upset that they won't be getting any dividends this year. Since a lot of pension funds depend on those dividends, there will be a ripple effect there. I trust that none of my readers own any BP shares.
Remember the saying: "If you break it, you bought it." What is the Gulf of Mexico worth in terms of natural resources in the water? Include the coast line. I don't care how much money BP has made in the past or how much money it has in its coffers or the level of credit it has at the bank; it does not have the money to buy all the natural resources in the waters of the Gulf of Mexico, much less paying for the losses of those living on the coast.
It is only a matter of time before they move toward Chapter 11.
Remember the good old days when the well was only leaking 1000 barrels of oil? They showed us the picture of the leak. It's the same picture that they are still showing us today. Their figure was so unrealistic that they soon had to raise the figure to 5,000 barrels per day. Even though many experts insisted that the leak was far worse, they continued to hold to that unrealistic position until June 3rd, when they began to recover some of the leaking oil.
They immediately began to recover more than what was leaking, so they were forced to triple their figure to about 15,000 barrels leaking. Then they began to recover that much, so they had to raise their figures to 25,000, then to 29,000-40,000. Now they are claiming that they will soon recover close to 50,000 barrels of oil per day. Will that recover all the oil from the leak? Of course not. The leak will be still greater than the recovery effort.
I am thankful that they can recover anything at all. But the leak itself has remained constant since the first day. The only thing that has changed is the magnitude of the lie. I mean, who they think they are, government officials? Everyone knows that only governments have the right to lie, because that is for our own good, right? Government does not take kindly to corporations horning in on their exclusive rights.
BP seems to have hired Blackwater to keep people away and hide the problem from those pesky reporters.
50,000 barrels is 2,100,000 gallons. (1 barrel = 42 gallons). Lindsey Williams says that the oil exec told him that the leak was between 4 and 5 million gallons. In other words, it seems that BP will soon be recovering close to half of what is being spilled.
These figures, however, have to be seen as retroactive from April 20. At 5 million gallons spilling per day for 60 days, that's a total of 300 million gallons, minus the little that they have been able to recover. These estimates, of course, might be a lot more, depending on other places leaking in the Gulf. The "plumes of oil" in the Gulf being reported many miles from Ground Zero are unnerving, to say the least. They indicate other possible leaks from fractures in the floor of the Gulf which are not yet known to the public.
What to do about it
I mentioned the other day that 2010 is like 1997 on this prominent 13-year cycle. Back in 1997 I was led to go to the Gulf to put a boundary along the Gulf against the "Red Dragon" (hurricane). I wondered if another trip might be in order, this time to counter the effects of Apollyon-Abaddon (Rev. 9:11), which is currently manifesting as this BP oil spill.
When I prayed about it, I got no leading to go. First I got a "no" but later there seemed to be some word about a trip but that it was "conditional" upon other things. Well, then I received an email from Richard which appears to explain the uncertainty. I think that he is the one called to make this trip at some point. He wrote:
"March 17 I went to Corpus, and when arriving there I went to the beach on Padre Island with my daughter after sunset, asking why I was told to go there. I was staring out over the gulf and got the impression that something big was coming and that though it may be diminished somewhat, that judgment was coming. It was very foreboding, dark, and cold. The only impression I got was that it could be diminished, but not stopped. I was then told to wait to go back in July..."
It looks like Richard is called to make this trip. There may be others as well, I don't know. I can only say that it is good to know that there are others that God is raising up to share in the work. The job is much too big for so few who do this kind of thing.
Daniel's Seventy Weeks
I mentioned some time ago that I was working on a new book called Daniel's Seventy Weeks. This project is nearing completion now. I had finished the first draft a month ago, but then expanded it and reorganized the material in the second draft.
This book has now gone beyond Daniel's Seventy Weeks. It starts there, but the ramifications of Daniel's Seventy Weeks run far and wide. Misunderstanding the timing of this, along with other wrong assumptions, has established many huge errors in modern eschatology. So I am showing how a proper understanding of Daniel's Seventy Weeks plays out in eschatology and changes our entire outlook in regard to the Tribulation, Antichrist, Rapture, Jerusalem, the Temple, and life in the Age to come.
Please do not order the book yet. Wait at least until the book is at the printshop, so that I know when it will be finished. Back orders have a greater chance of being lost in the comfortable clutter that I call my office.
