Thea's “Star Vision” must be understood in the context of the 15-year time frame from 1978-1993 and by knowing that this was the climax of the Pentecostal Church Age. Pentecost itself can only be understood by comparing it with the Feast of Tabernacles. Pentecost gives us an earnest of the Spirit (2 Cor. 1:22; 5:5; Eph. 1:14); Tabernacles baptizes us with “all the fullness of God” (Eph. 3:19).
Likewise, Pentecost is a leavened feast (Lev. 23:17), which shows us that it is mixed with the flesh and is in need of “fire” to purge the leaven from it. Furthermore, because Saul was a Pentecostal type, we know that Pentecost could establish “Saul’s Kingdom” but never “David’s Kingdom.” The primary problem with Saul was that the people had wanted to be ruled by a man, rather than directly by God. 1 Samuel 8:7 says,
7 And the Lord said to Samuel, “Listen to the voice of the people in regard to all that they say to you, for they have not rejected you, but they have rejected Me from being king over them."
So to understand Thea’s Star Vision, we must apply it in both a Pentecostal context as well as a Tabernacles context. In its Pentecostal context, Saul’s Kingdom was fleshly (as in the Old Testament in general), whereas David’s Kingdom (i.e., the Kingdom of God) is a spiritual Kingdom.
Now this is somewhat difficult to explain in a few words, because this spiritual Kingdom is on earth and not simply in heaven. It manifests on earth, but is spiritual. And the Feast of Tabernacles is fulfilled by the fullness of the Spirit indwelling human flesh.
When America was founded (still during the Pentecostal Age), it was still in the era of mixture with leaven. Though the ideals of the founders was to establish the Kingdom of God on the earth, they were not sufficiently empowered to do so. It was the good intent of the founders in the 1600's to create a "new Israel" and a "New Jerusalem" and "the Kingdom of God," but without the empowerment of the feast of Tabernacles, the best they could do was to establish a better version of Saul's Kingdom than was found in Europe.
It was doomed to failure, even as Saul had been doomed to fail. It had been prophesied in Gen. 49:10 that the true king would come from Judah, but Saul was from Benjamin (1 Sam. 9:1).
And so, America too was leavened from the start and would ultimately come under the same divine judgment that came upon King Saul. As this nation grew, it had great ideals but was mixed also with great abuses. Its fine ideals of liberty and freedom did not include black people, and treaties with the Native Americans were broken regularly.
The law of God demands absolute impartiality in its application, and it gives full rights to all non-Israelites who are law-abiding residents. But too many Christians in early America were ignorant of biblical law and had adopted Judaism's exclusivistic definition of "the chosen people" that was based upon genealogy or the color of their skin.
The result was that God brought various judgments upon America, which ultimately brought the entire nation into its neo-Babylonian captivity in 1914. The revelation of Pentecost from 1901-1906 failed to turn the hearts of the people and prevent this captivity from happening.
The Latter Rain movement from 1948-1952 likewise failed because (as George Hawtin told me later), "we were too full of ourselves." George explained to me that the Latter Rain disintegrated when the people became too obsessed with who was to be in apostolic authority over the rest.
Then the Charismatic Renewal came in the 1960's, but it too was as leavened as the other manifestations of Pentecost. There were inherent abuses of the gifts of the Spirit that occurred alongside of the genuine miracles and manifestations of the Spirit. Many cannot grasp why this is so, because they have not understood that Pentecost was prophesied in the law to be a leavened feast.
Just as Pentecost in 1901-1906 failed to avert Babylonian captivity, so also did the Charismatic Renewal fail to blow the trumpet of the 120th Jubilee in 1986. The final 15 years of Saul's Kingdom began with the conference at Notre Dame in 1978. Thea's Star Vision must be seen in this context. America had covenanted with God in the beginning to establish the Kingdom of God, but it failed to make good on its promise. America had a calling and a destiny, but the nation was formed during the administration of Saul and Pentecost.
She saw the United States as "New Jerusalem," but in what manner? Obviously, with all of the sin and rejection of God, the "counter-culture" of the 1960's, the drugs, the rebellion in music, the legalization of abortion in 1973--all of these things run counter to the laws and spiritual culture of the "New Jerusalem."
We must see that this was the calling and covenant established at the beginning, but we must also see clearly the failure of the Church under Pentecost to live up to its calling.
Hence, the six-pointed star superimposed upon America took on a new meaning, one that was not so good. Non-Christian Jewish bankers took control of our entire economic system, bribing Congress and blackmailing President Wilson to give them the power to create money and loan it back to us at interest. Then in 1948 the Church despised its Birthright by selling it back to Esau, as I explained in The Struggle for the Birthright. Hence, the "Star of David" took on a more sinister meaning, and the Charismatic Renewal failed to break us out of that bondage.
To understand these things requires much background knowledge, which I have attempted to teach for many years. One must have a thorough knowledge of the feast days, particularly the distinction between Pentecost and Tabernacles. One must understand the distinction between Judah and Israel, the Scepter and the Birthright, and also one must know how this struggle has persisted from biblical history to the present time.
All of these things began to come to a head in 1985-1986, when God finally began to separate His barley from the wheat into two distinct "fields" in order that they might have different destinies. The wheat (Church) had failed in its entire 40-Jubilee history to establish the Kingdom, and during this time the overcomers--those who were after God's own heart, as David--lacked the authority to do the job. Even as David had to wait for Saul to die, so also did the overcomers have to await the end of the Age of Pentecost.
And so, when Saul finally "died" in 1993, the overcomers received their first measure of spiritual authority to do that which the Church had failed to do. The Jubilee Prayer Campaign began in November of 1993, and the Jubilee was declared ten years "late" in 1996. Yet it was not until Nov. 30, 2000 that full authority was given to the overcomers to complete the work.
The final stage ended on Oct. 7, 2006 when the Jubilee Prayer Campaign fully ended with the gathering in Babylon, NY, as we decreed the fall of Babylon.
Sister Thea lived to see this day, for she died on January 12, 2008. As with so many things, she was given a double witness of 15 years. The first (Pentecostal) 15-year cycle of "Hezekiah" ran from 1978-1993, ending with the death of "Saul." The second (Tabernacles) 15-year cycle ended in 2008 when she entered the cocoon, so that her Friend's word might be fulfilled that would turn her into a butterfly.
