Jesus warned the religious-political leaders of His day not to be sitting on the feet of the Babylonian image when the time came for the great Stone to strike its feet and grind the whole image into powder.
This warning came as an addendum to the prophetic parable found in Matt. 21:33-43. That parable itself spoke of the Jewish usurpation of David's throne--a repeat of the Absalom revolt in 2 Sam. 15-18.
The parable told of the "husbandmen" or vineyard-keepers, those responsible for the vineyard (Kingdom) that God had planted in the days of Joshua. When God had sent His servants (the prophets) to receive the fruits of the Kingdom, the Jewish leaders "beat one, and killed another, and stoned another." (See also Matt. 23:37.) Finally, God sent His Son, and when they RECOGNIZED who He was, they conspired to kill Him and seize His inheritance (Matt. 21:38).
In other words, they crucified Jesus, not out of ignorance, but for the same reason that Absalom had driven David off the throne a thousand years earlier. Absalom knew who David was, but he coveted the throne. So also with the Jewish leaders in Jesus' day. In both cases, they had followers who backed them with blind trust that their leaders could do no wrong. In both cases there was a betrayer--Ahithophel and Judas.
Jesus allowed them to pass judgment upon themselves in Matt. 21:41. Jesus added in verse 42 that "The Kingdom of God shall be taken from you and given to a nation bringing forth the fruits thereof."
Christian Zionists like John Hagee may scream at God as loudly as they please, but it will not change the simple fact that the Kingdom of God has been taken from them and given to others who actually do what God requires of vineyard-keepers. My faith is in Jesus, not in John Hagee.
It was in this context that Jesus referenced a supporting prophecy in Daniel 2:34, telling us of the Stone that would strike the image of this Babylonian beast system on its feet--that is, in the time of its collapse. That speaks of our day today, for we are living at the time of the beast's toenails.
The pattern of Babylon's demise was established in the original city known as Babylon. It was conquered by King Cyrus of Persia, whom Isaiah calls a MESSIAH in Isaiah 45:1. Cyrus himself was therefore a type of Christ to show us that the Stone was to be Jesus Christ Himself. But ancient Persia is also modern Iran, and I have believed for 30 years that Iran would have something to do with the fall of Mystery Babylon.
Cyrus did not know God (Isaiah 45:4) and was unaware of His purposes. It is doubtful that he ever read Isaiah's prophecies. In the same way, the leaders of modern Persia (Iran) do not know the God of the Bible. Yet they are chosen as God's primary instrument for divine service.
We have seen signs of this for decades. Political foundations have been laid for many years to bring us to the place where we are today. And now, President Obama's pick to head US Intelligence, Dennis Blair, is telling us that the Israelis will probably attack Iran in the year 2009.

In fact, it appears to have already been decided, according to The Telegraph:
Former Israeli UN ambassador, Dan Gillerman, says that Israel can hardly wait to attack Iran. He says,
"In the harshest war rhetoric since the deadly offensive on Gaza, former Israeli UN ambassador, Dan Gillerman, said Tel Aviv could not afford to wait any longer for diplomatic efforts to curb Iran's uranium enrichment program adding that it was preparing a military offensive against the country."

Two hundred years ago, the Rothschild Jewish banking family began to rise to positions of power in order to replace the power of the Roman Church with the power of banking. This is prophesied in Revelation 13, where the "beast from the sea" (Rome) was replaced by a "beast from the earth" (banking). Historically, this process began after the French Revolution brought Rome to its knees. In 1798 Napoleon actually took the Pope captive, as I have written in past studies.
It took a century before the Jewish money powers were ready to make their move toward Palestine. It was called Zionism. In 1948 the Israeli state was established, not as a Jewish homeland (as the U.N. had specified), but as a Jewish State, for which they had no mandate. Prophetically speaking, these Zionists usurped Joseph's birthright, along with the name Israel that had been given to Joseph's sons in Gen. 38:16.
So first they usurped the Throne of Christ, which belonged to Jesus, given to Judah and to David. In the latter days they usurped the birthright of Joseph, in order to have it all.
In doing this, they also took over the government of Babylon, the world economic system of banking. Prophetically speaking, they positioned themselves on the feet of the Image of Gold. They had no intention of heeding Jesus' warning in Matt. 21:44,
And he who falls on this stone will be broken to pieces; but on whomever it falls, it will scatter him like dust. (NASB)
Daniel wrote in 2:35 that the entire image was "crushed all at the same time, and became like chaff from the summer threshing floors; and the wind carried them away so that not a trace of them was found."
The Bible is clear that the Israeli state itself, along with Jerusalem, is going to be destroyed. Christian Zionists raise money to send more Jews to their doom. Few people have enough compassion to warn them of the dangers ahead. The problem is that I cannot force a Jew to believe what Isaiah, Jeremiah, and Jesus prophesied. But what I can do, I will do. I will make everyone aware of the prophecy to the best of my ability, so that I will not be held accountable before God.
It appears that the year 2009 may well bring us to the place of final judgment that is to fall upon the Israeli state. The Israelis have declared war on Iran, because God is gathering them to the final battle. Jesus told another parable in Luke 19:12-28 speaking of "citizens" who refused to have Jesus Christ rule over them (vs. 14). The final verdict at the end of the parable reads this way in verses 27 and 28,
27 But these enemies of Mine, who did not want Me to reign over them, bring them here [Jerusalem] and slay them in My presence. 28 And after He had said these things, He was going on ahead, ascending to JERUSALEM.
In other words, God's purpose for Zionism is to gather these people back to the place of the original crime, so that they may be judged there. With the help of John Hagee, of course, and anyone who supports him.
