On April 8, 2004, I went to Washington D.C. with Bob to locate the place where we were to pour out the fifth bowl of wine on "the seat of the beast" (Rev. 16:10). We found the location at Scott Circle and poured out a half bowl of water taken from the Islands of Peace, where we had poured out the third bowl of wine earlier.
This was in accordance with the law in Deut. 20:10, where we are instructed to offer terms of peace before attacking a city. It is one of the laws of spiritual warfare that we have followed in our attack upon the city of Babylon since the beginning of the war in 1993.
We came to understand that "the seat of the beast" in Rev. 16:10 is also connected to "Satan's seat" in Pergamos (Rev. 2:12). Pergamos is also known in history as Pergamum. Pergamos was the site of the famous temple to Aesculapius, the Greek god of healing, said to be the founder of modern medicine. For this reason, the medical symbol is Aesculapius holding his caduceus, the snake on the pole. Medicine and science were worshiped at Pergamos by the symbol of the snake.
Modern medicine has cleaned this up a bit, linking it with the bronze serpent in the wilderness built under Moses. Keep in mind, however, that some centuries later, when the Israelites began to worship that bronze serpent, King Hezekiah destroyed it as an idol (2 Kings 18:4).
So the caduceus can have either a positive or a negative connotation, depending on what we do with it. On the positive side it can represent the healing under Moses (Num. 21:8), which was a type of Christ (John 3:14). On the negative side it can represent the tempter in the garden (Gen. 3:1). Symbols mean what people believe they mean and what they do with them.
With that in mind, we were led to hold a conference at the feast of Tabernacles in early October, 2004 at the Houston Medical Center in Texas. The primary theme was "reversing the curse" from the original sin in the garden. In other words, we needed healing from mortality (death) that was brought to all men as the result of Adam's sin (Rom. 5:12).
This is depicted also by the bronze serpent in the wilderness. Recall that the people were to look upon that serpent (representing Christ) in order to obtain healing after being bitten by the fiery serpents. This was a prophecy about how we must overcome death or mortality.
And then the world baseball championships began. Remember that the previous year we had seen the Angels beat the Giants in the World Series, and how this became part of the prophetic story, revealing what God was doing at that time. Well, this happened again in 2004.
The Boston Red Sox won the World Series against the St. Louis Cardinals on Oct. 27 amid signs held up by the audience: "Sox Reverse Curse" and also "Curse RIP: 1918-2004."
For those of you unfamiliar with their background, back in 1919 the Boston Red Sox sold Babe Ruth to the New York Yankees, in order that the owner might finance a business venture for his girlfriend. From that time on, the Red Sox seemed to be "cursed," because they had not been able to win the World Series since 1918, when Babe Ruth helped them win it.
The USA Today's Sport Section ran an article about this victory, saying,
"No longer will there be a curse. At exactly 10:40 p.m. CT, in the midst of a lunar eclipse Wednesday, the Boston Red Sox sealed their 3-0 victory against the pathetic St. Louis Cardinals.
"The torment of eight decades was over. The curse of the Bambino ("Babe" Ruth) was lifted. No longer will Red Sox fans, finally freed from purgatory after eight decades, live with the fact there had been no World Series title in Boston since Babe Ruth was traded to the Yankees a year after they won in 1918."
The article above actually began with a headline about the Red Sox manager: "Francona starts stint with healing, not heartbreak." I thought that was a nice touch, since breaking the biblical curse in the garden was pictured in the bronze serpent, which HEALED the people from death.
So it is plain that God really does speak the language of Sports, along with all other languages. He gives us prophetic pictures in everyday language that ordinary people know. Sports language is not my native tongue, of course, but I have learned enough to speak "pigeon-sport." So I can appreciate the prophecy when God begins to speak in tongues.
Applying this to the bigger picture--that is, to Washington D.C., where we had poured out the fifth bowl of wine after the Houston conference--there has been a curse upon the city ever since the beginning when it was built by the Catholic Freemason, L'Enfant. If one studies history, it is apparent that in spite of all the Papal decrees against Freemasonry, the American Catholic Church was closely allied with the Freemasons.
Washington D.C. was carved out of Maryland from land originally deeded to Frances Pope, who called the land "Rome" and the nearby river the Tiber. The city was built by Freemasons on Catholic land in Maryland, the state dominated by the Roman Catholic Church. This land was not donated out of the goodness of their hearts, but in order to dominate the city more easily. For this reason, perhaps it was fitting that the Boston Red Sox would beat the St. Louis CARDINALS to reverse the curse.
If you read David Ovasson's book, The Secret Architecture of our Nation's Capital, you will see how the city was built to reflect Masonic astrological beliefs, particularly about Venus. There are also statues of Pan everywhere, the half-goat, half-man that the Bible refers to as Azazel. It is a devil figure in history.
This is the curse that had to be reversed. A city that was dedicated to the devil at the beginning could not help but reflect that curse in later history, regardless of how many Christians held office. Likewise also, when the woman was delivered on June 24, 2004, I learned that she had been dedicated to Satan at the age of five. She was a type of Washington D.C. and so we can see in her individual problem a type of a much bigger problem. Recall also that the spirit cast out of her was Baphomet, the god of Freemasonry.
When we poured out the fifth bowl of wine at Scott Circle some months later in October 2004, it was at the base of a Freemason's statue at the top of the "candle" (16th street) within the Pentagram under the "flame" of the Masonic Temple and the "wick" of 10 statues of Venus. The streets were designed to portray the Pentagram of Baphomet, showing that the city was ruled by Freemasonry, the chosen people of Baphomet.
This was the nature of our spiritual warfare in 2004 when God declared war on Washington D.C. God's purpose was not to destroy the city, but to set the people free from the spiritual rulers in high places who have kept America in bondage.
America's government moved to Washington D.C. in the year 1800. If you recall from what I wrote in late July, this was the beginning of the final 210-year period culminating in 2010. The number 210 (or 21 x 10) is the "time of Jacob's trouble" (Jer. 30:7). It reflects the 21 years of bondage that Jacob experienced in the house of his uncle, Laban. He was off the land for 21 years.
Perhaps the results of this warfare may be reflected more fully in the year 2010. But regardless of what happens, we know that we have already obtained the victory, and the current financial turmoil in Washington is no doubt already reflecting this.
