As my wife and I were in prayer last night, the Lord unexpectedly instructed me to give you some personal background leading to the Jubilee Prayer Campaign in 1993.
In 1979, after contemplating the sovereignty of God, I realized that I no longer knew how to pray. I mean, should I keep God informed of things that He already knew better than I did? Or should I ask for things that He might not want to give me (for my own good)? So I prayed the prayer of the disciples: "Teach me to pray."
Two years later He began to answer my prayer, and thus the story really begins in late 1981, as I described it in chapter 3 of my book, Hearing God's Voice. God called me out and began to train me through difficult circumstances to hear His voice and to apply a bit of fire that would begin to burn out some dross in my character.
By mid-1982 I began "hearing" Him and began keeping records of what He said. One of the first things He told me was that He had enrolled me in a 12-year training course. Of course, I called it "the dungeon." It was patterned after Joseph's 12-year training period in Egypt; and David's 12-year training period running from King Saul.
The 12 years extended from Nov. 12, 1981 to Nov. 12, 1993--just in time for the Jubilee Prayer Campaign that began nine days later on Nov. 21.
The first part of this training period went from 1981-1986. God joined me to an intercessory prayer organization called "The Net of Prayer." It had extended a prayer call to commit to five years of intercession and spiritual warfare. Unfortunately, the call went largely unheeded, because we were still in the time of "Saul" (the Church Age under Pentecost). This time would not end until May 30, 1993, when Pentecost arrived at its 40th Jubilee from Pentecost in Acts 2.
And so, while there was much revelation and much good that was accomplished through the faithful prayer warriors, they could never finish the job and win a solid victory. They could go only so far, before having to "evacuate" the spiritual position. Why? All we knew back then was that it was because of "Church decision." I realize now what this meant. It meant that the overcomers (David's band) did not yet have the spiritual authority to make the final determinations needed for full victory. King Saul was yet alive and well, and David's ability to make up for Saul's failures was limited. Further, David was still in training.
And so, the necessary revelation was not given to us in those days to know what to do in 1986. Only later did we realize that 1986 was the 120th Jubilee from Adam, as I learned in 1991 and explained in my book, Secrets of Time. Meanwhile, the Church aborted the Manchild in 1985, as I have explained in earlier web logs, and God began to separate the overcomers from the Church, making them two distinct groups. In this way, He would be able to work through the overcomers to birth the Manchild and bring in His Kingdom under the anointing of the Feast of Tabernacles.
And so, ten years later, God moved again in a five-year plan from 1991-1996, this time revealing the secret of the Jubilee. He showed us from the pattern (precedent) of Hezekiah that He would do a new thing ten years late and then "turn the clock back" ten years to make the Jubilee declaration of 1996 applicable to 1986. Since He is the Lord of Time, by right of its Creator, He was able to do this legally.
But to get back to 1986, in July of that year I was given a Word from the Lord, with 12 who bore witness to it, that I was to leave the Net of Prayer and "Call the NEW Net of Prayer to prayer." God gave me 46 days in which to comply with this--or else there would be consequences. Unfortunately, I refused to do so, and so on Sept. 2, 1986 the Lord put me into "discipline mode," which I now know as "cursed time." That name is somewhat of a misnomer, because it is actually a grace periodto give the disobedient time to repent before the judgment is carried out. And "cursed time" seems to be primarily applicable to disobedience in regard to one's calling--not for just any type of sin.
In 1986 I knew nothing about "cursed time," but it happened to me nonetheless. God gave me 3 periods of 414 days of discipline mode from Sept. 2, 1986 to Jan. 27, 1990. Much of that time I spent in "Egypt" (Memphis, TN). But then in late 1989 I had no choice but to leave the Net of Prayer, and this corrected the original problem of disobedience in 1986. A month later, the Lord gave me a new job in a new location, and we moved out of "Egypt" on Jan. 27, 1990. A year later, I discovered the significance of Cursed Time and how God had disciplined me by this principle.
In coming out of Cursed Time (414), God moved us to a new address: Rt. 2, Box 76. Even the address was significant, because one must add 76 to 414 to arrive at Blessed Time (490). See chapter 8 of Secrets of Time. But I do not want to get lost in details.
On May 28, 1991 the Lord marvelously brought back the 1986 revelation to "Call the NEW Net of Prayer to prayer." This was the date that the New Net of Prayer was established--although let me make it clear that this is merely a prophetic name, not an organizational name. There were two occasions when Jesus told the disciples to throw their nets out on the other side of the boat to catch fish. In Luke 5:4-6, they caught a lot of fish, but the nets broke.
But after Jesus' resurrection, in John 21:6, the same command went out with the same results--but this time the nets did NOT break. They brought in 153 large (mature) fish. The number 153 is the gematria of "the sons of God" in Hebrew, whose letters served as their numbering system.
Thus, the purpose of each of these prophetic works, the first from 1981-1986 and the second from 1991-1996 was to "catch fish." The first time (Luke 5) many fish were caught, but no mention is made of their size or maturity. The nets were not strong enough to hold the catch. I believe this is because the net was trying to catch Christians under the anointing of Pentecost during the time of King Saul. It was not destined to succeed, because Pentecost is not capable of bringing the fullness of the Spirit into the earth. Pentecost can only establish a Kingdom under Saul.
The second "net," however, did not break, because these nets were cast out into the water in 1993 after the Pentecostal Age had ended. That age ended on May 30, 1993. The nets were first actively deployed six months later in the Jubilee Prayer Campaign Nov. 21-29, 1993.
God did not allow me to lead the prayer campaign until my full 12 year training period had ended nine days earlier. By this time I had made all of my major mistakes and had learned from them. Training is not easy in God's Fishers of Men Bible School, and I certainly was (and still am) far from perfect. Yet God is faithful, and the sons of God are not perfect, but they are disciplined (Heb. 12:7). So I know from His disciplines that I am one of His children.
The result of the New Net of Prayer was primarily the revelation that we were to declare the Jubilee in 1996 and that God would make it applicable to 1986 by a legal time maneuver called "the Hezekiah Factor." We were faithful to do this on Sept. 23, 1996 (the Day of Atonement or Jubilee), and we are now coming to the ten-year anniversary of that declaration.
The net has been cast out, and currently it is being drawn to shore. Last night God said that this will culminate at some point with the resurrection of the dead. Of course, no date was revealed for that great event, but we are to be always watchful of the signs of the times.
This short summary is my personal background leading up to the Jubilee Prayer Campaign in 1993.
