A Ukrainian cargo place, full of NATO weapons, has crashed in Greece. It was heading for Jordan but ultimate for Bangladesh. It appears that this plane was carrying NATO weapons that were supposed to be given to Ukraine. US officials have admitted that they have no way of tracking those weapons once they are sent to Ukraine, and there are many reports that a large portion of these weapons are being sold to other countries to line the pockets of politicians in Ukraine and in the USA.
Nato and EU states are pushing for better tracking of weapons supplied to Ukraine in response to fears that criminal groups are smuggling them out of the country and on to Europe’s black market.
The plane was heading to Bangladesh, so it appears that these weapons were being purchased by the government of Bangladesh or perhaps to insurgents within the country. We know the destination of the plane, but we do not know the ultimate destination of the weapons themselves.
On its flight from Niš in Serbia to Amman in Jordan, the Ukrainian Antonov plane caught fire before it crashed in Greece. Contrary to some media speculation, the arms delivery was intended for Bangladesh.
