On January 13, 2012 the luxury cruise liner Costa Concordia hit a reef, tearing a 50 meter gash in its side, which caused the engine room to fill with water. The ship drifted and finally sank the next day (January 14) near Tuscany, Italy, killing 32 people.

The ship’s 13 decks were named after 13 European countries, symbolizing their “concordia” (concord, unity, harmony). It was also the old Roman goddess of harmony or peace. Hence, as a sign of the times, the sinking of the Costa Concordia could be seen as a harbinger of disunity or disharmony—perhaps foreshadowing the breakup of the European Union.
Two years earlier we received the revelation that January was to be seen as a Passover month. January, of course, is the first month on our present-day Roman calendar. Since the biblical Passover was to be celebrated in the middle of the first month on the Hebrew calendar, we were to watch for Passover-like events occurring in the middle of our own first month.
The Passover lambs were to be killed on the afternoon of the 14th day of the first month. Hence, the Costa Concordia sank on January 14, 2012.
During the previous year, the Greek bank crisis had occurred, causing a lot of anger and disunity. The Greeks blamed other countries for their demands for “austerity,” while the other countries (Germany, in particular) blamed the Greek government for spending more than they could afford. The sinking of the Costa Concordia seemed to symbolize that rift in Europe.
On February 9, 2012 the Greek government approved its austerity package, and the next day riots broke out in Athens, which destroyed 40 buildings. On February 21 the European Union agreed to a $130 billion bailout for Greece, based on Greece’s earlier agreement to the austerity demands.
On April 9 those holding Greek bonds took a 74 percent “haircut” (loss).
The Demise of Democracy
Greece is known to be the birthplace of Democracy. In 2012 I saw the Greek financial problem as a sign of the demise of Democracy itself. In other words, the world would begin to move away from Democracy into a more “austere” form of government, some form of dictatorship such as Communism, Naziism, or Fascism. This is precisely what happened over the next ten years, though the nations pretend that they are still Democracies. But the lockdowns and mandates in 2020 and 2021 prove otherwise.
Communism failed in 1991 with the collapse of the Soviet Union. Thirty years later, in 2021, Democracy has failed. It has been said that when people living in a Democracy discover that they have the right to vote themselves money, then the end of Democracy is near. Politicians gain votes by promising the people things that cost money, and they fulfill their promises by borrowing and going into debt. Eventually, this catches up to them, because one can never resolve a debt problem by borrowing more money—unless they intend to declare a Jubilee.
I believe that these failures will lead to the rise of Kingdom government, but only after much trouble and turmoil as men become disillusioned with their Babylonian rulers and all forms of man-made government.
Competing Temples
One problem with modern Democracy is that it violates the First Commandment, “You shall have no other gods before Me.” The occult rulers of Babylon have exploited this weakness by claiming the right to worship whatever god they choose, thereby degrading the moral fiber of the nation and even the church itself. This, in turn, has brought about divine judgment, which resulted in the takeover of Mystery Babylon through the Federal Reserve Act of 1913.
We thus entered into the seventh church age, that of Laodicea, which is the church of the captivity.
Most people view the overall conflict in secular terms (i.e., competing political ideals). We must look deeper to the religious motivations behind these “secular” movements. As time passes, the religious nature of politics has emerged. Hollywood has presented occult themes at least as early as the 1960’s in order to teach children how “fun” it is to be a witch. Few Christians saw what was happening and remained asleep, oblivious to the danger.
The Star Trek series, followed by the Star Wars movies, was not merely a futuristic view of science fiction but the start of a new way of religious thinking. It was designed to create a new definition of “God” in terms of spaceship commanders. It brought about the idea that more advanced civilizations from outer space “seeded” the earth with humans after performing some genetic experiments on them. This was designed to replace the Creator God of the book of Genesis with multiple gods who were from more advanced civilizations.
This new religion was also designed to deny the need for Christ to die on the cross to save mankind. This idea is now very popular, and many Christians have been deceived by this new religion. In saying this, I do not deny the existence of aliens from outer space, whoever they may be. However, I deny that any such beings are independent of the Creator.
The Apostle Paul speaks of the time when “at the name of Jesus every knee will bow, of those who are in heaven and on earth and under the earth” (Philippians 2:10). Paul goes further by telling us that the blood of the cross has reconciled all things, “whether things on earth or things in heaven” (Colossians 1:20).
In other words, what Jesus did on the cross was not only to reconcile people on earth but also whatever other civilizations there may be in the heavens. Hence, no one ought to lose their faith in the blood of Christ if they become convinced that there are aliens in outer space. In fact, such a belief ought to expand and enhance their understanding of the effectiveness of Christ’s death on the cross.
At the same time, there is also a rise of modern Gnosticism, popularized by Dan Brown’s book and movie, The DaVinci Code and by Laurence Gardner’s books. There Jesus is said to have survived the cross. They say that He then married Mary Magdalene and had children, who eventually became the Merovingian ancestors of modern European monarchs. This religion, of course, denies that Jesus died on the cross, and anyone who subscribes to that belief has denied the very foundation of Christianity.
Christianity itself is under attack these days, and Christians’ faith is being tested to see if it is real or not. There are two temples being built, a true and a false temple side by side.
The 46th Superbowl 2012
Previously, I showed how our Tabernacles conference on October 7-9, 2011 was 9 x 490 days after Jesus’ 2000th birthday (September 11, 1999). I also showed that this same time period can be seen as a cycle of 80 x 46 days. The number 46 is the biblical number for “temple,” and so the Greek word naos, “temple” occurs 46 times in the New Testament.
The same cycle is also 21 x 210 days, linking to the time of Jacob’s trouble.
120 days later, the 46th Superbowl took place on February 5, 2012. In that game, the Giants beat the Patriots. During the halftime show, Madonna was carried in like an Egyptian goddess in a temple full of priests and priestesses.
It was obvious to us that Madonna, with her dicey reputation, represented Rahab, the Egyptian harlot. Rahab is a symbolic name for Egypt in Isaiah 30:7 and in other Bible passages. This was a portrayal of the false temple that Christ’s opponents are building.
In Superbowl 46, the Giants won 21-17. This suggested that in 2012 the giants in the land appeared to be winning the war of the temples. However, the number 17 is the biblical number for “victory.” So even by appearing to lose, the Patriots of the Kingdom are more than conquerors. The Giants’ victory, then, is temporary.
The true Temple in Ephesians 2:20-22 is being built and cannot be stopped, any more than the rise of the saints can be stopped.
