In response to Part 24 of The Rise of the saints, I received this email from my friend Chai:
Regarding your weblog today, where you mentioned that “In the fruit of the Spirit in prophecy, the apple represents peace.” Perhaps you have already known this, coincidentally (if there’s such a thing), in simplified Chinese characters, the word apple comes from the word peace. They also share the same pronunciation “Ping.” Hence, apple in Chinese literally is peace (Ping) fruit (guo).
