New books printed in Pakistan

The new book of tracts entitled God’s Love and Mercy is now printed in Pakistan. It is a compilation of 12 tracts that Pastor Fiaz translated into Urdu. The book cover pictures the Prodigal Son returning to his Father, which is one of the topics that is covered in the four-part tract series called God’s Marvelous Plan for Creation.

There are three or four recommendations from seminary teachers published in the front of the book. At the back is a one-page personal biography with a picture of Darla and me, which I wrote and which he translated. On the final page is Pastor Fiaz’ statement (pictured below) with his picture.

Two thousand books were picked up from the printshop yesterday.

Distribution began today.

Now that this book project has been completed, Pastor Fiaz is now eager to finish translating The Restoration of All Things into Urdu. He has completed seven chapters and has only two short chapters to go.

If all goes well, this should be ready for printing by the end of July. We agree that this longer book on Universal Reconciliation will answer many questions raised by the introductory tracts.

Pastor Fiaz tells me that these books will transform the entire church in Pakistan. No material like this has ever been published there, but the people are hungry to learn the deeper things in the word of God. Each book that is published will have impact upon the church. Pastor Fiaz says they will bring about “great revival.”

He wants to start translating The Laws of the Second Coming next, and his goal is to finish it by the end of the year. Being a much longer book, this will cost more but will also teach them how the feast days prophesied of the two comings of Christ. This will lay the foundations for a proper eschatology, not only in the churches but also in the seminaries in Pakistan. To me, this book is the antidote to the Dispensationalism of Darby and Scofield.

Pastor Fiaz is also looking forward to translating my commentary on Daniel, which no doubt will create the need for a translation of the commentary on Revelation as well. But these are future projects that will take time to finish. At the present time, we are laying foundations for New Covenant teaching, so that the people can better understand the nature of Christ, not as an “Angry God,” but as The God of Love and Mercy, as the book title indicates.

Think about how your life was changed when you first learned that God’s justice was based on His Love nature, rather than pure “wrath.” That is what is now beginning to happen in the whole Pakistani church!

Pastor Fiaz and I are now talking about getting together next year. He would like to visit me here, and he would also like me to visit Pakistan to meet the people there. Hopefully, by that time, travel restrictions will be lifted.
