Jim Caviezel
When Mel Gibson made a phone call to Jim Caviezel to ask him to play the role of Jesus in his 2004 movie, The Passion of the Christ, Jim had no idea how filming the movie would change his life forever. Jim’s initials were J.C., and he was 33 years old.
Jim was sick with pneumonia during the climactic scenes. He was accidentally hit with the whip in the scene portraying Jesus’ beating. When he stumbled under the weight of the cross, his shoulder was dislocated, and this was very painful when he was on the cross. A storm moved in, and the sky was dark. He was so cold, he went numb and his body actually turned blue.
He was hit by lightning when he was hanging on the cross, and for a moment he was outside of his body looking at himself on the cross. The ground shook. Everyone watching fell on their faces. The doctor on the set put his stethoscope on his heart and said, “Mel, he can die.”
Yet Jim insisted on continuing the film. Through it all, he felt the presence of God and knew that he was entering into Christ’s suffering. He persisted, because he knew that God was revealing Himself through the film, and he was transcending his role as an actor. Throughout the filming process, he remained in a state of meditation. He says it was as if he became Jesus during the film.
Listen to his testimony. It is a powerful revelation of Jesus Christ.

Jim is now working on a sequel to The Passion. He plays Luke in Paul the apostle of Christ, which is the story of Paul and Luke. It is coming on March 28, 2018.
Dennis Quaid
The film I can only Imagine came out on March 16, 2018, starring Dennis Quaid. His life was changed, and he was able to finish a song he had been working on for a long time: I’m on my way to Heaven.
These films will have a huge impact on America in the days ahead. The Passion movie was powerful years ago. But the timing of these films (2018) tells me that these have the potential for sparking—or contributing to—the outpouring of the Holy Spirit that is coming.
