A few days ago I wrote that Prince was a member of Eckankar. I have learned since that he said he had converted to Jehovah's Witnesses back in 2001 and baptized in 2003, depending on the source.

I will have to take his word for it unless other information is found that proves otherwise. So meanwhile, I have removed that reference from the previous weblog and recanting that statement.
I apologize for this misinformation, both to Prince and to any others who I may have misled.
As for the sign of his death regarding Purple Rain and the sons of Isaiah, all of that is independent of Prince's religious affiliation, so that part still stands true.
Further, I still have questions regarding his mix of religion and sexual themes. As John said, if we say we have faith, we should walk even as Jesus walked. Prince's public life did little or nothing to advance the laws or morality of the Kingdom.
Likewise, I have to ask why his estate was across the street from the Eckankar temple. Was that just a coincidence? At this point, I cannot say for sure. If I learn more, I will let you know.
