This past week our daughters flew to Minnesota, uniting our entire family for Saturday's memorial service for Darla's father, who died February 7.
They returned to their homes early this morning.
Tomorrow I have to go to the Minneapolis court house to report for jury duty. I expect to be dismissed, but this will still take up my morning, so I do not expect to be able to post a weblog for Monday.
On May 20-22, Darla and I are planning to go to the Apostle Islands in Lake Superior. We have been invited to some Native American ceremonies on Madelyn Island, the largest of the Apostles. The last time we went was, I believe, in 2011, at which time we were rained out. I understood back then that the "effective apostleship" God promised in 2001 had been postponed to a later time. Now it appears that we are there.
We had our first clue about this in late February of this year when we were able to visit the Twelve Apostles in Australia. I wondered then if we were supposed to go to the Apostle Islands soon. Well, that question has now been answered by this invitation.
Recall that in story of Hezekiah, the king received a 15-year extension, but the sign was that the clock would regress 10 steps on the sundial of Ahaz. We have seen both 10 and 15 year cycles associated with the Hezekiah Factor. In 2011 we reached the ten-year mark, but now in 2016 we have come to the 15-year mark. So it appears that we are now finally at the appointed time to be apostled, or sent out in a greater way than we have seen before.
