I received some new insights today about conditions from 2014-2017. To give better understanding of these things, I need to start at the beginning to give it context….
In Daniel 7:8 the prophet saw the rise of a little horn (power/ruler) coming out of the fourth beast (Rome). We read, “this horn possessed eyes like the eyes of a man, and a mouth uttering great boasts.”
An angel was “standing by” (Daniel 7:16) to give the interpretation.
20 and the meaning of the ten horns that were on its head, and the other horn which came up, and before which three of them fell, namely, that horn which had eyes and a mouth uttering great boasts, and which was larger in appearance than its associates. 21 I kept looking, and that horn was waging war with the saints and overpowering them 22 until the Ancient of Days came, and judgment was passed in favor of the saints of the Highest One, and the time arrived when the saints took possession of the kingdom.
The “ten horns” have to do with Rome. The fact that the “little horn” grows out of the beast with ten horns shows its origin and power base is also Rome. In the long-term historical prophecy, the fall of Rome occurred in 476 A.D., and the “little horn” arose in 526-534 A.D.
Daniel 7:25 interprets the little horn in this way:
25 And he will speak out against the Most high and wear down the saints of the Highest One, and he will intend to make alterations in times and in law; and they will be given into his hand for a time, times, and half a time.
As I have shown in previous articles, Emperor Justinian the Great came to the throne in the Eastern Roman Empire, which had remained intact after the fall of Rome in the Western half of the empire. Justinian made “alterations in times and in law.” First, he changed the calendar. The calendar had been dated from the founding of Rome (AUC), but Justinian changed it to begin dating all legal contracts from the birth of Christ.
Secondly, he revamped the entire legal system of the Roman Empire to reflect Church law, and abolished many of the old laws from the pagan empire. Will Durant’s book, The Age of Faith, page 112, says of this alteration:
“This Code ... enacted orthodox Christianity into law .... All ecclesiastical, like all civil, law, was to emanate from the throne.”
The Catholic Encyclopedia says,
“It would be difficult to exaggerate the importance of this ‘Corpus.’ It is the basis of all canon law (ecclesia vivet romana) and the basis of civil law in every civilized country.”
So there is no doubt that Justinian’s two world-changing actions fulfilled Daniel’s description of the little horn. Revelation 13 quotes from Daniel 7 and gives further insight into the time and the activities of this little horn. In Revelation 13:5 he says,
5 And there was given to him a mouth speaking arrogant words and blasphemies; and authority to act for forty-two months was given to him. 6 And he opened his mouth in blasphemies against God, to blaspheme His name and His tabernacle, that is, those who dwell in heaven. 7 And it was given to him to make war with the saints and to overcome them; and authority over every tribe and people and tongue and nations was given to him.
The “great boasts” in Daniel 7:20 is interpreted here as “arrogant words and blasphemies.” His main mission is to “make war with the saints” in order to put them under his control. As for the time limitation, Daniel 7:25 says “a time, times, and half a time,” which John interprets as “forty-two months” (or 1,260 “days” or 3½ years).
History shows that this time of beast authority followed the principle of a prophetic day being a year (Ezekiel 4:6). In this case, 1,260 years brings us to the French Revolution (1789-1794), after which time this beast from the sea had a near-death experience. The pope was taken captive by Napoleon in 1798, the Vatican appeared to be dead, but then Napoleon reinstated a pope in 1804. What followed was a so-called “Holy Alliance” (1814) between the Vatican and the European states.
Prophetically speaking, John puts this alliance in terms of two beasts becoming allies. The first beast (from the sea) becomes allied with a second beast (from the earth). Whereas the first is a religious beast, the second is an economic beast. It was the empowerment of the modern banking system, led visibly by the Rothschild dynasty.
This “alliance” has continued for two centuries to the present time (1814-2014). At the midpoint, the Federal Reserve Bank was established (1914) and given a hundred-year contract to control the world money supply.
Last September the Lord revealed that the overall time of the little horn—including the time of this alliance—was 1480 years. This time cycle has been seen in the past, for it is the numeric value of Christ in Greek. Jesus died on the cross on the 1480th Passover since Israel kept the first Passover in Egypt. Likewise, the fulfillment of Pentecost in Acts 2 was the 1480th Pentecost since God came down as fire on Mount Sinai to give Israel the Ten Commandments.
From the rise of the little horn in 526-534, we can count 1480 years to 2006-2014. These 1480 years are much like the original cycle, during which time God expected the people to keep the Commandments of God. Of course, the little horn usurped the authority of God and claimed the authority to replace the Commandments with its own “traditions of men.” While we cannot feasibly recount all the features of this time frame, we now believe that 2014 is the time when the Divine Court will convene and pass judgment in favor of the saints of the Most High. Specifically, this will occur on the 8th day of Tabernacles, Oct. 16, 2014.
So far, however, I have said only what has been revealed in past months. Today’s revelation takes it to a new level. This new insight shows how Revelation 12 and 13 fit together.
Revelation 12 is a prophecy of the END of the time of the little horn and the transfer of authority to the saints of the Most High; chapter 13 is a prophetic history of the entire time period of the little horn. In that sense, these chapters are not in chronological order, but rather in reverse order. How do we know? First, because chapter 13 gives no specific prophecy about the transfer of authority to the saints of the Most High, even though we know from Daniel 7 that this is the end of the matter.
Secondly, in chapter 12, and the son of the woman is given authority (Revelation 12:5). Revelation 12:9 then speaks of the overthrow of the “red dragon,” where he loses his position of authority in the heavens. After being cast down to the earth, the dragon launches a second phase of warfare against the saints and the woman (bride of Christ). So we read in Revelation 12:13,
13 And when the dragon saw that he was thrown down to the earth, he persecuted the woman who gave birth to the male child.
This is new information about what happens AFTER the dragon has been cast down. In other words, this is like a continuation of the war. It is Phase Two of War on the Saints. As for the time frame, I think in this case the “time, times, and half a time” given in Revelation 12:14 is a short-term prophecy of 3½ years, rather than 1,260 years. Yet Phase Two is prophetically modeled after the long-term cycle insofar as timing is concerned.
It is apparent that the prophetic “woman” (true Church) and her “offspring” (overcomers) will need—and will receive—divine protection during this time period. In fact, I believe that the saints will receive their authority from the Ancient of Days at the start of this period, empowering them to deal with the dragon during his earthly rampage. This is stated in Revelation 12:10,
10 And I heard a loud voice in heaven, saying, “Now the salvation, and the power, and the kingdom of our God and the authority of His Christ have come, for the accuser of our brethren has been thrown down, who accuses them before our God day and night. 11 And they overcame him because of the blood of the Lamb and because of the word of their testimony, and they did not love their life even to death.”
The little horn was given power to overcome the saints until the Ancient of Days transfers authority to the saints on October 16, 2014. That is the point where the saints (overcomers) turn the tables on the red dragon. John says the saints overcame the red dragon because of the blood of the Lamb. Obviously, this must take place at the end of the little horn’s time of jurisdiction.
Further, “the authority of His Christ” has come (to the saints).
So what happens next? Look at Revelation 12:17; 13:1,
17 And the dragon was enraged with the woman, and went off to make war with the rest of her offspring, who keep the commandments of God and hold to the testimony of Jesus. 1 And he [the red dragon] stood on the sand of the seashore….
We see here that the red dragon refuses to accept the verdict of the Divine Court and decides to continue the warfare and persecution to the bitter end. This dragon is the spiritual entity who creates and empowers both of the beasts that appear in Revelation 13.
The ultimate end of the red dragon and his two Babylonian beasts is described in the next chapters. The saints are described in Revelation 14:1-5. By seeing all of these chapters in light of Phase Two of the war, we are made aware of a new way of viewing these chapters. These hold prophetic clues about what is yet to come in a final, short-term prophetic conflict.
I see now that there is a legal end of beast dominion on Oct. 16, 2014, but as we have so often seen in past spiritual warfare, those whom God rules against seldom accept the verdict as final. They either challenge the ruling or fight against it. In this case, they cannot challenge the ruling, because there is no higher court to appeal to. So they simply fight the verdict to the bitter end, not knowing that God has put it in their hearts to do this in order to obtain legal cause to destroy them completely.
God sought legal occasion against the Philistines in the days of Samson (Judges 14:4). Even God does not make war except by the legal provisions of His own law. Likewise, when one refuses to abide by the decision of the Divine Court, it is considered Contempt of Court, which carries the death penalty (Deuteronomy 17:9, 12). By this law, when the red dragon refuses to abide by the decision from the Throne of God, it gives God legal cause to carry out the death sentence against the red dragon.
God, therefore, empowers His enforcers in authority at that time to carry out the sentence of the court. The enforcers will be the overcomers after Oct. 16, 2014.
For this reason, the red dragon will not overcome the saints any more, even though he continues to make war against them. That is the good news. I believe that this will be a time of miracles to ensure the success of the overcomers as they protect their “mother” as well as themselves in the days ahead.
