A reader from Canada informed me of the news from their country. . .
Today is Canada Day. It is the nation's 144th birthday, having been formed on this date in 1867. Paul's term "the elect" in Romans 11:7 has a numeric value of 144.

William and Kate arrived in Canada yesterday on their first official trip since the wedding. Today would have been Lady Diana's 50th birthday. This is the number of the Jubilee.

They even enjoyed a barbecue with "120 youth." The number is always associated with the outpouring of the Spirit in Scripture.
"Rideau Hall broke, or raised, William's personal flag for the first time during this appearance.
"Kate and William, the second in line to the throne of Britain and the Commonwealth realms, were greeted by Gov. Gen. David Johnston and his wife, Sharon, who also hosted a barbecue Thursday evening with 120 youth."

So once again, Happy Birthday, Canada. May the Elect ones among you bring a Jubilee and an outpouring of the Holy Spirit.
