Here is how the Israeli media is reporting the flotilla assault:
Israeli journalists corroborated the army accounts of an attack by violent protesters bearing knives and metal bars. Ron Ben-Yishai, a veteran war correspondent aboard the Victory, an Israeli missile ship, wrote a piece headlined A Brutal Ambush at Sea, in which he suggested that those being violently ambushed were the Israeli army. He wrote that the naval forces that stormed the flotilla were unprepared for the "severe assault" that awaited them and only fired when under attack.
The incident was routinely depicted as a "lynching" of Israeli forces during the dawn raid on the aid flotilla, and reporters referred to "peace-lovers bearing sticks and knives," as one journalist for Israel's Channel 1 put it.

This is a classic illustration of the old cartoon of a child walking into his house with a black eye, explaining to his parents, "Joe started it when he hit me back."
The Israeli commandos stormed a civilian aid ship in international waters before dawn, and then when the civilians fought back with whatever they could get their hands on, it was their fault for resisting the raiders.
The Israeli government's mindset is the same as 63 years ago, when Menachem Begin's Irgun terrorists raided and massacred 250 old men, women, and children of the village of Deir Yassin on April 9, 1947. Later the Israelis justified this saying, "it was their own fault for not leaving when they were warned." Here is what Menachem Begin himself had to say about it in his 1951 book, The Revolt, Story of the Irgun, page 163 and 164,
"One of our tenders carrying a loud speaker was stationed at the entrance to the village and it exhorted in Arabic all women, children, and aged to leave their houses and to take shelter on the slope of the hill. By giving this humane warning our fighters threw away the elements of complete surprise, and thus increased their own risk in the ensuing battle. . . The fire of the enemy was murderous--to which the number of our casualties [4 were killed, according to the Red Cross report] bears eloquent testimony. Our men were compelled to fight for every house; to overcome the enemy they used large numbers of hand grenades. And the civilians who had disregarded our warnings suffered inevitable casualties."
According to Afred Lilienthal (The Zionist Connection II, page 154),
"No warning had been given to the villagers, as was later claimed . . . because the armored truck with its loudspeaker had tumbled into a ditch and had been tossed on its side far short of the first houses of the village. Advised by a night watchman of the approaching Jewish raiders, some inhabitants, with only a robe thrown around them, managed to flee to the west."
Menachem Begin tells us in his book that the Jewish raiders wanted that land for an airfield. This was the purpose of the massacre. In this murderous raid, Yitzhak Shamir's terrorist group (the Stern Gang) joined forces with Menachem Begin's Irgun Gang to kill everyone in the village. Most of the men in the village were at work in Jerusalem, leaving only old men who apparently did what they could to fight back, killing (as Begin tells us) four of his Irgun terrorists. (Are we supposed to sympathize with him over this?)
This Zionist mindset assumes that no one has the right to defend themselves from attack, as long as it is Jews doing the attacking. If the other way around, then the Zionists have the right to defend themselves, of course. This is simply how they think. This Zionist definition of self-defense is still being used today among the hardliners.
"Zvi Ankori, who commanded the Haganah unit that occupied Deir Yassin after the massacre, gave this statement in 1982 about the massacre, published by Davar on April 9, 1982: 'I went into 6 to 7 houses. I saw cut off genitals and women's crushed stomachs. According to the shooting signs on the bodies, it was direct murder'."
By the way, to his credit the Chief Rabbi of Jerusalem, excommunicated those who participated in the massacre. There have always been Israelis who deplored these murderous, terrorist tactics. Ami Isseroff, of the Peace Middle East Dialog Group, said,
"It is long past time for Israeli Zionists, like myself, to apologize. The Israeli government has never apologized for the massacre of Deir Yassin ... The perpetrators of the massacre at Deir Yassin were never punished."
No, in fact they elected Menachem Begin Prime Minister in 1977. He was the first Prime Minister of the new Likud Party that had brought together all of the former terrorists of the 1940's and united them under one political party under the leadership of Begin, the most prominent terrorist of the 1940's. His accomplice, Yitzhak Shamir, was elected Prime Minister in 1982 and again in 1986.
Most Christian Zionists have never actually done any independent study for themselves, and so they have been tricked into supporting terrorism for many decades. When I was growing up in the Church, I was not told of these things. I did not even know that Begin had written a book in 1951, giving the full history of the Irgun terrorists who were under his command in the 1940's. I had never heard the story how he blew up the King David Hotel in Jerusalem, killing 91 people. (See page 218 of his book.)
So the latest killing of civilians on the flotilla does not represent any new Israeli policy. But the winds have shifted in recent years, at least in Europe. The Babylonian "beast" is beginning to hate the Great Whore (false Bride, false Israel) who rides (rules) this beast, and "will make her desolate and naked, and will eat her flesh and will burn her up with fire" (Rev. 17:16).
The question is, When will the Christian Zionists repent for supporting Jewish terrorism? When will they actually follow Jesus Christ and believe His teachings? When will they adopt the New Covenant and "cast out the bondwoman and her son" (Gal. 4:30)? America will continue to slide into divine judgment (the natural consequence of sin) as long as the Church thinks it is doing the will of God by supporting murder and terrorism.
But it seems to me that this latest incident is God's way of opening the blind eyes of Christian Zionists. Will John Hagee once again say, "There was never a time when Israel needed your support more than it does today"?? Hagee has a seared conscience. As long as Christians believe and support his view, God will continue to bring America down into the dust.
Fortunately, America yet has a calling and will yet repent. Hagar (and Hagee) will be cast out, as prophesied in Scripture. Jerusalem will be destroyed, as Isaiah and Jeremiah said. The saints (true believers) will inherit the Kingdom, as Daniel said. It matters not what men think. In the end, God will work His plan in the earth. But there will be greater reward for those who work in accordance with that Plan, rather than supporting the opposition.
