In any military attack, there are always unintended consequences. Even the best of war plans are scrapped as soon as the war begins. But if these reports are correct, it looks like the complex web of military treaties will mean that a war on Iran automatically widens the conflict to include Russia, China, Syria, Lebanon, and God only knows who else.
Further, this report below claims that China will refuse to buy any more US Treasury bonds to finance our debts and bailouts. The economic consequences of that would be enormous.
Nuclear fallout would probably be temporary, lasting only a few weeks beyond the last explosion. But it is the most physical immediate concern in such a scenario.
Potassium Iodate, anyone?
I would hope that you all have spent a long time preparing your hearts spiritually and studying the Scriptures to see how these things have been prophesied, so that you know that we are not facing the end of the world, but the end of the Babylonian age. We do not need to fear when other men's hearts fail them for fear. Yet being forewarned in Scripture means that God is showing us how to be wise and prudent so that we can be better prepared in an unprepared world.
In my view, we entered World War 3 back on Sept. 11, 2001. If you have read my booklet, "The 1986 Vision of the Two Gulf Wars," you understand where these events are heading. It won't end until Jerusalem is destroyed as per Isaiah 29:1-6. A nuclear attack on Iran will not be the end of the story. It is quite likely that such an attack will precipitate a series of events that will ultimately lead to a nuclear attack on the Israeli state in general, and Jerusalem in particular.
