Last December 30, the Israelis rammed and tried to sink a humanitarian boat trying to deliver aid to the Palestinians. Aboard was former Congresswoman, Cynthia McKinney.This was, of course, attempted murder, but the U.S. government did not seem to care any more than they did when the Israelis attacked and crippled the USS Liberty back in 1967.
Six months later, she has made the trip again. This time, on June 30, the boat, "Spirit of Humanity," loaded with food aid for Palestinians, was hijacked on the high seas (international waters), and the aid workers jailed in an Israeli prison.
I don't recall seeing this on the world news. I wonder why. It appears that it is wrong for Somali pirates to hijack ships on the high seas, but it is alright for the Israelis to do the same. This in spite of President Obama's call for humanitarian aid to the Palestinians.
Why is there no outrage coming from the White House? I suppose government officials are hunkered down, afraid of being the next victims of AIPAC.
