About a week ago, the Lord impressed upon me to fast and pray from Feb. 1-7. This is Day 1.
All I knew at the time was that this time ran parallel to the same dates in 1983 when I did a similar fast. I had just come out of my first 414-day cycle from Dec. 5, 1981 to Jan. 23, 1983. It began with my resignation as pastor of the Church in Las Cruces, NM. It ended with my arrival in Batesville, Arkansas in a whole new world.
Upon my arrival in Arkansas, and settling into a house, I immediately flew to El Paso, and drove to Las Cruces in order to pick up all of our household items that had been in storage. I arrived home in the evening of January 30, 1983.
I then began my week-long fast on Feb. 1st.
I do not know how closely this week will parallel the events of 1983. It was a long time ago, and time cycles spiral into new levels, rather than repeat precisely. But late last night the Lord gave me the first pieces of information, three Scripture verses and a date to watch.
1 Cor. 9:19
"For though I be free from all men, yet have I made myself servant unto all, that I might gain the more."
Mark 13:25
"And the stars of heaven shall fall, and the powers that are in heaven shall be shaken."
2 Peter 2:17
"These are wells without water, clouds that are carried with a tempest; to whom the mist of darkness is reserved for ever [i.e., for the age]."
Watch Date: February 9, 2009
Explanation: The first verse applies to us. This time of fasting is a time of servanthood on behalf of the overcomers everywhere.
The second and third verses apply to the Babylonian leaders of the political and economic world, and to some extent the leaders of the Church as well, insofar as they support this Babylonian system. It has to do with divine judgment upon Babylon.
It would be easy to jump to conclusions or speculate further, but this is the extent of the revelation at this point.
