This is just to let you know that Darla and I will be flying to Philadelphia tomorrow, so there will be no web log tomorrow. However, I will try to remember to bring my laptop computer to continue the current series while I am there. I may find more time to write in the afternoon or evening, if not the morning.
I do have much more to share in this series. From the response so far, I take it that there are quite a few of you who are interested in knowing this type of material. If you are not among these, please bear with me. I'll get back to Bible study soon. Yet to me, Bible study is a means to an end, and not an end in itself. Bible study is useful in that it teaches us the practical applications in life. In this case, when we learn the biblical types and symbolism used in the Bible, and when we have some knowledge of the biblical use of numbers and time cycles . . . . all of this helps us to see and understand what God is doing in the world today.
In other words, Bible study (on this level and in this depth) helps us to know what is happening in our lives and all around us.
In this current series, I am giving you a rare peak into the world as I see it. These are things I normally discuss in more private circles with others who have an understanding of such things. I was thrust into this new world in 1981, and so I have had many years in which to observe and to "prove all things." Not much is provable until a time cycle runs its course, for only then can we see the end from the beginning and close the books on any particular matter. But after observing hundreds of such matters over the years, one gets a feel for it.
And, of course, a revelation of timing helps tremendously. Perhaps this is what makes my calling unique among ministries, along with a deeper understanding of the law and the mercy factor built into it.
