Intercession for America: Part 4

In the overthrow of the seven princes over America, we received an unexpected bonus that was not revealed until after it was completed. The Lord said that America had been "divorced" from the golden calves on March 24, 2001, which was the final day of the prayer battles.

This requires some background. In the days of Moses, God married Israel, a fact that the prophets mentioned specifically only when God later divorced her (Jer. 3:8; Hosea 2:2). But shortly after the marriage ceremony at Sinai, Israel set up the golden calf and said, "This is your god [husband], O Israel, who brought you up from the land of Egypt.

God then sent Moses down from the mount, and he destroyed this golden calf.

Many years later, when Israel and Judah split into two nations, King Jeroboam of Israel set up two golden calves for the people to worship in the towns of Bethel and Dan, saying,

"If this people go up to offer sacrifices in the house of the Lord at Jerusalem, then the heart of this people will return to their lord, even to Rehoboam king of Judah; and they will kill me and return to Rehoboam king of Judah." So the king consulted, and made two golden calves, and he said to them, "It is too much for you to go up to Jerusalem; behold your gods, O Israel, that brought you up from the land of Egypt." And he set one in Bethel, and the other he put in Dan. [1 Kings 12:27-29]

This became the primary reason for Israel's dispersion two centuries later. God sent the Assyrians to destroy the nation of Israel and deport them to the area around the Caspian Sea and near the Black Sea. According to the Obelisk of Shalmanezer, king of Assyria, the official name for the House of Israel was Beth-Khumri, "House of Omri." Their name was also written as Ghomri, or Gomer.

This is why the book of Hosea portrays the prophet marrying "Gomer," the harlot, because she represented the House of Israel. The prophet was prophetically representing Hoshea, who was the last king of Israel ("married," as it were, to "Gomer.")

After the Assyrian Empire fell, these Khumri, or Ghomri, or Gimirri, began to spread into Europe, where they became known as Celts. They were also called Beth-Sak and Sakka (Latin: Saxons) according to the Behistun Rock, which equates Gimirri with Sakka. These are plain archeological facts, which I have explained in other writings.

The point is to show that the northern tribes of the House of Israel were divorced from God (Jer. 3:8) because of their adultery with the golden calves. God then sent them out of His house, according to the law of Deut. 24:1-4). But though they were judged by God, there is no record that they ever repented from their infatuation with the golden calves. After God divorced Israel, they went out and married those golden calves and worshiped false gods.

Hence, as they migrated into Europe across the Caucasus Mountains, becoming known as "Caucasians," and from there to other parts of the earth, such as America, no one thought to file for divorce. In fact, it was not in their hearts to do so, and so they never received the revelation to do this.

Thus, the problem lingered, always in the background, and no one could figure out the root of our national tendency to go after false gods. Even though America was founded as a Christian nation on one level, we had not pulled up this spiritual root, and so it was inevitable that we would ultimately revert back to the golden calves.

Then in January of 2001 this problem was revealed to us. Up until November 30, 2000, the overcomers did not have the spiritual authority to deal with the golden calves. But after that date, the overcomers were the ONLY ones who had the authority to deal with it. Hence, the problem was revealed two months later (Jan. 2001), and this is what brought about the prayer battles in February and March, as I have set forth in this series.

Even so, not until these particular battles had been completed did we learn that these seven spirits represented the golden calves in America--and that on March 24, 2001 America was formally divorced from them in the Divine Court. In this manner, America's "covenant with death" was annulled (Isaiah 28:18).

The divorce was the negative work that had to be done through spiritual warfare. Once it was completed, then the positive side was revealed. The "blessings" which we were supposed to pray upon America (i.e., "God Bless America") were part of the New Covenant Marriage Proposal to bless, honor, protect, and give her many children. It was a Betrothal, not unlike the one given to Abraham in Gen. 12:1-3 before God married Israel at Mount Sinai.

On March 28, 2001 I asked the Father what these blessings actually indicated, and after giving me Luke 24:27, He said,

"You are to pray that their ears be opened to hear the Word. This is their primary blessing, but not their only blessing. As you pray, I will open their ears."

The next day, He added,

"The blessing of Genesis 12:3 promised to Abraham is applicable to you [not personally]. The blessing is fulfilled when I turn each one from their iniquity. America will be turned from her iniquity. It is My intent to make America a glorious Bride that reflects My glory."

He made it clear that this was only a beginning, for He would also marry many nations, as each would divorce its false gods and accept His marriage proposal. Our primary focus in 2001 was upon America, because most of the prayer warriors in these battles were from there. Yet keep in mind that this was only a pattern-setter for the rest of the world. We were teaching by example. The overcomers of all nations have been given the spiritual authority to act on behalf of their own nation since Nov. 30, 2000.

So we were led to call for a prayer campaign on June 19-22, 2001 called "We Accept Your New Covenant Marriage Proposal." Thus, America became "betrothed" to God on June 19, 2001.

On April 20, 2001 the Lord said, "I will lay a new foundation in America on June 19 as prophesied in Isaiah 28:16."

Once betrothed, the Bride must make herself ready for the coming marriage. There is much preparation before a wedding, including putting on the wedding garment, the fine linen, which is the righteousness of saints. And so, since that time America has been preparing for her wedding. The events of Sept. 11, 2001 may not seem like a good thing to us, but it brought the whole nation to pray, "God Bless America." That was an appeal to turn us from our iniquities, and God has promised to answer that prayer.

How long will this take? I do not know. We are in the midst of Gulf War II, revealed twenty years ago. This whole conflict in Afghanistan, Iraq, and perhaps even involving Iran and Syria is simply a physical outworking of the spiritual warfare of 2001. Though it looks bad today, I can tell you that the overcomers win in the end. The victory was already seen on March 24, 2001.

We will be conducting a one-day prayer campaign on Thursday, June 15, 2006, in order to pray specifically for our eyes and ears to be opened to the Word of God, so that we can accept the blessings of His Word to us. We should, of course, always be praying in this manner, but June 15 is an "appointed time" set for the Divine Court case. All who appear in the Heavenly Court at this time will be there to petition together, each on behalf of his or her own nation.

The time is coming soon for God to pour out His Spirit upon all flesh, so that His glory will cover the earth as the waters cover the sea.
