The Implications of Babylon’s Fall

As we approach the feast of Passover in April, we are making preparations as God moves to overthrow Mystery Babylon. This is comparable to Daniel preparing for the new regime as Babylon fell to the Medes and Persians in 537 B.C.

The main difference this time around is that Daniel could only anticipate the second beast empire to take power, whereas we now live at a time when the final beast has completed its rule. We anticipate the Stone Kingdom, which is the Kingdom of God.

Hence, our preparations are happier than those that Daniel may have done.

No doubt Daniel knew the prophecies of Isaiah 44-45, where God had spoken of Cyrus, king of Persia, by name, calling him God’s “servant” (Isaiah 44:26), His “shepherd,” (Isaiah 44:28), and His “messiah” (Isaiah 45:1).

These chapters prophesied that the second beast empire would be ruled by a “messiah,” in that “he will perform all My desire” (Isaiah 44:28). In the same verse Cyrus was also to declare that Jerusalem would be built and that the foundation of the temple would be laid.

That was then, but now is now.

There were two sets of prophecies converging in Cyrus. The first was that he was the head of a beast nation that was pictured as a bear (Daniel 7:5). The second was that he was a messiah overthrowing Babylon and funding the building of the Kingdom of God.

This strange contradiction is resolved when we see that there would be a dual fulfillment of the prophecy. In Daniel’s time, Cyrus did what was prophesied, and his partner, Darius the Mede, even divided the kingdom into 120 “satraps,” or provinces (Daniel 6:1). The number 120 is always associated with the outpouring of the Spirit. There was no such outpouring at that time, but it prophesied of one that was yet to come in our time.

Furthermore, Darius set up Daniel as the head of the three “commissioners,” or governors, making him the top ruling official in the kingdom under the king himself. This too was prophetic of the transfer of authority that was to come when Mystery Babylon would be overthrown in our time.

In Daniel’s day, the “bear” was the dominant prophecy that was being established in the long-term. For this reason, the Kingdom of God could not be fully established at that time. Judah was still under divine judgment, and God’s contract with the beast nations had barely begun. Hence, the positive prophecies spoken about Cyrus establishing the Kingdom of God were limited in their fulfillment. They were subordinate to the beast prophecies at that time.

But today we see a reversal of this. We have completed the time of the beast nations, who were to rule for “seven times” (7 x 360 years). Even the hundred-year “make up” time has now been completed (1914-2014), on account of the Grecian beast losing a century of rule from 163-63 B.C.

That lost century was made up from 1914-2014 in the time of Mystery Babylon, beginning with the founding of the Federal Reserve Bank. This extension of the beast empires is known in the book of Revelation as Mystery Babylon. It is the extension of a hundred years, as if the cycle of beast empires were beginning again.

Now that this time too has been completed, we are now seeing the overthrow of Mystery Babylon by the modern representatives of Cyrus and Darius. The difference is that this time around, the dominant prophecy being fulfilled is the Messianic prophecy of Isaiah. The bear this time is subordinate to the Kingdom. What will start out as a beast (fleshly system of government) will end as the Kingdom of God, as the modern “kings of the east” (Rev. 16:12) find it in their hearts to build the New Jerusalem and New Temple.

The Transfer of Authority

Daniel 7 speaks of four beast empires which were to arise. The final “iron” beast was to be extended via the “little horn” after the collapse of Rome in 476 A.D. Fulfilling the description was the Roman Church, given power by the emperor of the Eastern Roman Empire in 529-534 A.D. The emperor, Justinian, changed the calendar so that it would begin with the birth of Christ, and then he altered the laws of the Roman Empire to conform to Church law. This was prophesied in Daniel 7:25, “he will intend to make alterations in times and in law.”

The little horn was given power for a time, times, and half a time,” which Rev. 13:5 interprets as “forty-two months,” or 1,260 “days.” In long-term prophecy, this is actually 1,260 years, ending with the French Revolution in 1789-1794. At that point, God raised up Napoleon to give the little horn (pope) a fatal wound, and the pope was taken prisoner in 1798.

The little horn, however, was healed of its fatal wound when Napoleon needed a pope to crown him emperor. A new pope was set up in Rome, and the system has continued to the present day. Of course, since the Church during the Pentecostal Age was a manifestation of King Saul, the revival of the Vatican was assured, at least until 1993. This was the 40th Jubilee of the Church, corresponding to Saul’s 40-year reign.

Even so, the beast empires had a 2,520-year contract to rule, since God had hired them to bring the “seven times” judgment upon Jerusalem in 607 B.C. We are just now seeing the end of that long time of divine judgment.

The Dominion Mandate, given to King Nebuchadnezzar in 607 B.C. was given to the saints of the Most High on Oct. 16, 2014. The overcomers are the stewards of this Mandate for the next thousand years.

From the standpoint of the little horn, which (I believe) had been given the final 1,480 years of the beasts’ time of authority, their time finally expired fully on Dec. 30, 2014. This was 1,480 years after the little horn’s alteration of Roman law took effect on Dec. 30, 534 A.D.

Backlash

As usual, when God deposes flesh-driven men from their positions of authority, they never agree with God’s verdicts. They are always happy to agree when God’s verdicts are favorable to them, but never when it goes against them. So in 2015 we see mounting opposition on many levels.

Yet they cannot stop the momentum of events taking place. On January 15, 2015 the Swiss National Bank shocked investors by ceasing to prop up the value of the euro. Immediately, the euro dropped 30% in relation to the Swiss franc. Financial institutions around the world went bankrupt within thirty minutes.

Then on Jan. 25 the Greeks elected new leaders who had vowed to get rid of the painful austerity measures that the previous administration had put in place. Their enormous debt load is still being negotiated at the present time, but the bottom line is that these debts are unpayable. It is only a matter of time before they declare a Jubilee, which will bankrupt many central banks and whole countries.

In the wake of these financial events, the US lost face on Feb. 13, when the Minsk Agreement was signed, putting an end (relatively speaking) to the Civil War in Ukraine. This agreement bypassed the US altogether, because Germany, France, and Russia deliberately excluded the US. Why? The nations were alarmed at the US efforts to start a war with Russia, which would probably hurt European nations more than the US.

This really marked the beginning of the end of US prestige, hegemony, and diplomatic influence in the world.

The next big blow to US hegemony took place on March 12 when Britain decided to become a founding member of the Asian Infrastructure Investment Bank (AIIB). This bank is the brainchild of China and Russia. It was launched on Oct. 24, 2014, and the deadline for nations to become founding members is March 31.

Britain’s announcement made the US government “furious,” according to news reports. But a few days after Britain’s decision was made, France, Germany, and Italy joined Britain in breaking free from US pressure. On March 17 they announced that they too would seek membership in the AIIB, followed by Luxembourg on the 19th and Switzerland on the 20th.

It is likely also that Australia, South Korea, and even Japan could join the AIIB by the end of March. Only the US is sullenly sitting isolated in its own little corner, looking more and more like The Biggest Loser.

The US attempt to isolate Russia and to contain China’s rise has backfired, as other Western nations abandon their past alliances and form new alliances with the East. It seems that the only option left for the Babylonian oligarchs is to find a way to go to war. The US has a long history of forcing other nations into war, or, if that fails, of engaging in “false flag” operations as a pretext to declare war.

The New World Rulers

Rev. 16 speaks of angels pouring out seven bowls of wine in judgment against Mystery Babylon. The sixth bowl is prophesied in verse 12:

12 And the sixth angel poured out his bowl upon the great river, the Euphrates; and its water was dried up, that the way might be prepared for the kings from the east.

The last bowl, of course, pictures the actual overthrow of Babylon. So the sixth bowl prepares the way for the kings of the east to overthrow Mystery Babylon. It is pictured in terms that remind us of the Medes and Persians drying up the River Euphrates in order to overthrow Babylon in the days of the prophet Daniel.

The main point to consider here is that the kings of the east are assisted by the angel of God, and that they are comparable to the original kings of the east—Cyrus of Persia and Darius of Medea. God had raised up Cyrus by name (Isaiah 44:28; 45:1) to bring judgment upon Babylon long before Babylon had even become an empire.

This means that the kings of the east in Rev. 16 are not the bad guys, but the good guys. They have been raised up by God to set the people free and to empower God’s people to build the Kingdom.

See the example of Cyrus, whose edict allowed the people of Judah to return to their land and to rebuild Jerusalem and the temple (Ezra 1). Likewise, when Darius took Babylon and re-organized the Persian Empire, he set up Daniel as the highest ruler in the land under the king (Dan. 6:3). This prophetic type established the pattern for what was yet to happen when Mystery Babylon would fall many years later. Daniel 7:27 says of this time,

27 Then the sovereignty, the dominion, and the greatness of all the kingdoms under the whole heaven will be given to the people of the saints of the Most High…

The modern kings of the east are Russia and China, and God has empowered them to overthrow Mystery Babylon that has ruled the earth from the Western nations. It is a 3-headed dragon, ruling from three city-states: The City of London, Washington D.C., and the Vatican. These exercise power in different ways: financial, military, and religious.

As of March 18, 2015 the war between East and West has been won, for all practical purposes. The US has lost its western allies, who first refused to fight a US-led war against Russia, and who then refused to boycott the China-backed AIIB. Without Germany and France, the US cannot win militarily in Ukraine, nor can it prevent the end of the US dollar’s reign as the world reserve currency.

The interim between the transfer of authority (Oct. 16) and the coronation of the overcomers (April 5) has seen breathtaking reversals of fortune for Mystery Babylon. These are not just world-changing events; these are events marking the shift from one age to another.

As I wrote earlier, China and Russia are currently fleshly nations, but the biblical prophecies about Cyrus in Isaiah 44 and 45 are now set to be fulfilled. We have reached the end of the Dominion Mandate being held by beast governments. The new Cyrus and Darius is now on the world scene as God’s answer to prayer. We engaged in spiritual warfare from 1993-2006 to see this moment.

Will China and Russia Invade the Israeli State?

Christian evangelicals and Pentecostals are not happy about the overthrow of Mystery Babylon. They have been taught for years that drying up the River Euphrates would open the way for China to send a 200-million man army to invade “Israel.” To them, China is the enemy of God.

Likewise, they have taught that Russia was the end-time enemy of “Israel,” for they say that Gog and Magog in Ezekiel 38, 39 is Russia invading “Israel.”

Hence, they oppose the kings of the east, rather than seeing them as God’s answer to prayer. Given their views of prophecy, it is nearly impossible for them to understand why God’s angel would prepare the way for the overthrow of Mystery Babylon.

Neither do they understand that the invasion of Gog and Magog, coming upon “the mountains of Israel,” was already fulfilled in the invasion of Russian and Eastern European Jewish immigrants a century ago. They conquered Palestine by immigration, not with uniformed troops, so most of the Church did not recognize what was happening right before their eyes.

The key is found in Ezekiel 38:6, which lists “Beth-Togarmah” as one of the invaders, along with Magog, Meshech and Tubal (38:1). These names were presumed to be references to Russia—especially during the Cold War in the past century. But as more history has come to light, it is now plain that the prophecy teachers were wrong.

The Khazars (or Chazars) used to have a large empire in what is now southern Russia and Ukraine. The Jewish Encyclopedia (and many other books) says that the Khazars were converted to Judaism about 740 A.D. (Some say it took place a century earlier.) These converts to Judaism now form the largest branch of Jewry today, the Ashkenazim.

The Khazar empire was gradually taken over by Russia until the Ashkenazi Jews were fully incorporated into Russia some centuries ago. But during the height of the Khazar empire, a Jewish doctor in Spain heard about this Jewish Kingdom and sent a letter to its king, seeking more information. He soon received a reply from King Joseph of the Khazars, who wrote:

“Joseph then proceeds to provide a genealogy of his people. Though a fierce Jewish nationalist, proud of wielding the ‘Sceptre of Judah’, he cannot, and does not, claim for them Semitic descent; he traces their ancestry not to Shem, but to Noah’s third son, Japheth; or more precisely to Japheth’s grandson, Togarma, the ancestor of all Turkish tribes. ‘We have found in the family registers of our fathers,’ Joseph asserts boldly, ‘that Togarma had ten sons, and the names of their offspring are as follows: Uigur, Dursu, Avars, Huns, Basilii, Tarniakh, Khazars, Zagora, Bulgars, Sabir. We are the sons of Khazar, the seventh . . .”

From this letter, quoted often by Jewish historians, the Khazars are identified specifically as being descended from Togarma, the brother of Ashkenaz. This is undeniable evidence that the Ashkenazi Jews are specifically from Togarmah but also closely related to the invaders of the mountains of Israel as prophesied by Ezekiel. We read in Gen. 10:2, 3,

2 The sons of Japheth were Gomer and Magog and Madai and Javan and Tubal and Meshech and Tiras. 3 And the sons of Gomer were Ashkenaz and Riphath and Togarmah.

The bottom line is that Russia will NOT invade the Israeli state. The descendants of Togarmah already invaded that land in order to form their own state called “Israel.” Yes, this invasion fulfilled Bible prophecy, but NOT those prophecies of the restoration of the house of Israel.

In fact, when the Bible speaks of the restoration of Israel, it was talking about the so-called “lost ten tribes,” not the Jews (or House of Judah). Jewish scholars have never claimed to be of those ten tribes. In fact, for thousands of years they have prayed to be reunited with the House of Israel. People do not pray such things if they think they are already the House of Israel.

My book, Who are the Israelites? explains this further for those who wish to know more about the actual fulfillment of Bible prophecy regarding the house of Israel.

Fallout

The six-day war in 1967 brought about the Israeli occupation of Jerusalem. From that point on, Isaiah 29:1-6 could be fulfilled. In this passage, God reveals His grand strategy to overthrow His enemies who occupy Jerusalem.

1 Woe, O Ariel, Ariel the city where David once camped! Add year to year, observe your feasts on schedule. 2 And I will bring distress to Ariel, and she shall be a city of lamenting and mourning; and she shall be like an Ariel to me.

The Hebrew name Ariel refers poetically to the city of Jerusalem. The name has a double meaning: (1) lion of God; and (2) hearth of God—that is a place of burning.

Jerusalem was supposed to be the “lion of God,” but because of its rebellion against God, it was to be turned into a hearth, a place of burning. Hence, we should understand the end of verse 2 to read, “she shall be like a hearth to me.”

3 And I will camp against you encircling you, and I will set siege works against you, and I will raise up battle towers against you.

God says that HE is the One directing the siege against Jerusalem. In other words, God has raised up foreign armies against Jerusalem and has taken their side in this battle. So who will win the battle?

4 Then you shall be brought low; from the earth you shall speak, and from the dust where you are prostrate, your words shall come. Your voice shall also be like that of a spirit from the ground, and your speech shall whisper from the dust.

The prophet was quoting the words of God speaking to the city of Jerusalem. He continues,

5 But the multitude of your [Jerusalem’s] enemies shall become like fine dust, and the multitude of the ruthless ones like the chaff which blows away; and it shall happen instantly, suddenly.

Jerusalem’s enemies are seen occupying the city where David once lived. God defines enemies as those who hate Him (Lev. 26:40-42; Isaiah 63:10). The people in Isaiah’s time did not believe that they hated God. But the prophets took a different view, and history shows that God brought judgment upon the people for their rebellion against Him.

The same situation is true today. I do not doubt the strong religious fervor of practicing Jews today, but they still maintain a hostility toward Jesus Christ that has been the cause of divine judgment. So Isaiah continues, saying,

6 From the Lord of hosts you will be punished with thunder and earthquake and loud noise, with whirlwind and tempest and the flame of a consuming fire.

It appears that Jerusalem is going to be judged with a nuclear war at some point in time. As the US falls from power, the Israeli state will lose its most important ally and protector. The end is fast approaching.
